I have had a few over the years. I would play with them for a few years but eventually they go away. I met them just by playing multiplayer games and just chatting.

Yes, I met him while playing multiplayer Minecraft. Now I chat with him pretty regularly and I'm happy he is part of my life.

Well I've become friends with people that I've met online (and then met up with irl too), but I wouldn't call them a "gaming best friend". :D
I met pretty much all of them because they somehow ended up on the same TeamSpeak servers that I was on.

We met through a neutral friend on a Minecraft PS3 world. It was my friend and his friend. My friend said he had to go so it was just me and his friend, and we made pixel art together. And we've been friends for 5+ years.
