Just a cautious note: I have heard that Humble may ban users that give are doing to many GAs (based on their no-trading policy, I guess) using gift-links. Therefore, it is often recommended to rely on keys only, since those are not trackable. This may be a thing of the past but better safe than sorry. :)

I saw that in some threads as well. I guess I never tested it, but I thought once you click on "reveal key", that even if you didn't redeem it in your steam account that it was bound to only your steam account for redemption?

I don't think the key is bound to your account. But that's actually a good point. This might be true for some keys but I am pretty sure it works fine for the majority of it. But I can only speak from my experience.
