Hi, regarding your question in the forums: as a consumer I oftentimes will want to buy a game if I see enough GA's for it. I normally would never dream of paying real money for a game, however I think my mentality goes: jeez, there's so many other people playing this game, I should buy & play it too just to see what's up. By playing the game (unless it's completely terrible or something I'm uninterested in, e.g. horror), it becomes a shared experience with a lot of people, like reading Shakespeare or the Bible or Koran -- regardless of whether it's the truth or just a made-up story. It's like having to watch the latest "bad movie" everyone is talking about.

Anyway, that being said, I do think you would get a lot of advertisement for your game on SG. You can even make separate GA's for each copy, and have them all end at different times -- that way it's obvious that a lot of people are going to be playing that game, and it might be worth playing just to share experiences with other people on SG. Additionally, SG allows people to buy the game from Steam with a quick link, which would support the SG site as well as let you sell more games.

You can even ask SG'ers for feedback on the forums before they put a real review on Steam, and then you could tweak the game a bit to become better before it hits the masses.

Anyway, just want to congratulate you on making a new game! :)
