Once upon a time I thought of summers as largely benevolent warm months when it was fun to be outdoors, watching people in their summer freedoms, thinking of parks and ice cream and long nights full of whispering promise. Sometimes I still think like that, but in between those periods it's just so damn hot alla time. Phew. When I was a kid we didn't have air conditioning, just a couple of clanky fans. How did we survive?
This is an old key, newly revealed, and should work like new. If you have trouble with it, please let me know.

Very poetic!
I've seen things saying we get used to the heat when we don't have AC. But also, I am more temperature sensitive about certain swings.
We try to get out before (or after) the nastier heat. It helps. I could a few nights of whispering promise!
