Not a bad turn-based, tactical multiplayer game. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi trentjaspar, there has been a mistake, your submissions of PLANET ALPHA and Life is Strange: Before the Storm have been verified as fitting for the PAGYWOSG event when in fact they should not have been as you have unplayed wins that fit the theme. I removed them both from the website and please remove your entries in any of the giveaways if you have any or I will be forced to have the giveaways deleted. Sorry for the inconvenience.

LOL, okay. I didn't enter any of the giveaways, that was not the motivation. I just liked the idea of participating in something on SG.
I won't make the same mistake again.

So I didn't realize this was so much work-- not only do you have to check that all 250-plus entries are indeed SG wins, and that they match the theme (including at time checking things like date of win and odds of winning), and that they weren't beaten during a previous month, but for people who submit non-SG wins, you have to examine all of their unplayed wins to see if any match the theme (including, again, date of win and odds of winning). You are dedicated!
To that end, I'll point out that user aonrao has an unplayed win that fits the theme-- Windlands is Atmospheric. I'm assuming that 1 minute of playtime (according to "Do You Even Play, Bro?") doesn't qualify the game as 'played'.
Actually-- the event doesn't say that the win has to be unplayed-- it just says that you have to beat it during the month. So you can have played/unfinished games that aren't beaten, then finish them during the month. I only point this out because I've already misunderstood the rules more than once, so I want to get it right finally! And you had said "unplayed wins" above instead of "wins not already beaten."

Ah I just noticed you were actually told those games were valid too by someone else :/ that sucks and sorry it happened, I completely missed it when it did (as I assumed they were SG wins and I was not the one who approved either of the games as valid, Samwise did, I just caught it when I went to double check for Life is Strange).
It is actually not that awfully much of work. I have Samwise who helps me a lot. The website thankfully has a button I can click and it will search the win list of people to see if it is a SG win or not and to check for unplayed wins I do use Do You Even Play, Bro?.
I am aware. 1 minute of playtime is usually indicative of broken (crashing on startup) games and I am also aware of multiple other people with the same issue.
As for non unplayed games: it doesn't mention anywhere that they have to be because they don't have to be completely unplayed. It is also in the FAQ.

Right-- my saying, "the event doesn't say that the win has to be unplayed" was me saying that I finally realized they didn't have to be unplayed. You had mentioned "unplayed wins" in your first message above, but I can understand how that's an easy shorthand for "game that is not 95 or so percent finished."
I have several wins I have no real intention of playing (if unplayed) or beating (if played but unfinished/abandoned) for one reason or another. Mostly these are games I won early in SG when I wasn't as selective about my entries (including a 100,000 copy mass giveaway). It's a shame I likely won't be able to participate in your event-- I like the idea of supporting an event that promotes playing wins.
Anyway, thanks again for your patience with me and for conceiving/administering the event!
