I'm just finishing up Star Ocean: Second Evolution. I really like that it lets you choose which protagonist's route you want to play. Its not often RPGs [from the PS1 days] let you play as (or choose) a female protagonist. You also can't recruit all of the characters in one playthrough since you only have 6 open character slots and some characters conflict with another (ex. You can't recruit Bowman if you have Precis), so it adds a bit of variety to each person's playthrough.
