W-What?

Er- I'll find out tomorrow, maybe. My friends say that it could be better and that it would be better if it was R-rated but that it is still fun!

Thank you and good luck!

I like the Shogun series best maybe ill a little too much an otaku but the idea of the samurai and the first using gunpowder weapons really makes me happy but I really suck at playing the game.

I mean, everyone finds feudal Japan and samurai cool. :D
Not keen on the gunpowder weapons, tho.

What do you mean you suck? How come?

Anyway, hi, Cap'n Lizard.
Hm. Total War - WARHAMMER? ;d

Teppou is cool, but pure metal-clashing swordmanship is the best. :P

Yes... WARHAMMER. Where Hammers go to War.

Interestingly, not Age of Sigmar. :D

I only played Medieval II: Total War yet. I like it, so it is my favorite I guess ^^

Meanwhile I've only played Rome: Total War! The old one!

I've only heard great things about Medieval 2, tho.

Also: you like blue-haired girls, I see. :D

Medieval 2 is great indeed, I played it way too much 10 years ago while I was supposed to sleep and go to school in the morning. I did 2-3 hours night several times. Everytime I started a new game I couldn't stop playing.

Also: you like blue-haired girls, I see. :D

I played LoL a lot for 3 years. And my dog's name is Jinx 😋

Oh wow! Some sleep schedule issues aside, it is great when a game grabs you so much! Wish I could get that.

I played LoL a lot for 3 years.

Ah, how come you stopped?

And my dog's name is Jinx

You named your dog after your waifu?

The only Total War game I remember playing was the original Total War: Rome, and that was when I was a lot younger. I think I got intimidated by it's complexity at the time, so I abandoned it as soon as I finished the tutorial... XD

But since I heard that this one is simpler, if I were to win it then I should have no problems with that. :P

Thanks again for another great giveaway! :D

Ah, it is the only one I played, too! I played it at like 12-13, so I could actually get some decent Campaign gameplay going on.

Even if it isn't simpler, you're now older and wiser!

Thank you and good luck!

Medieval II
Last game in series without tons of dlc's
Also medieval Europe is most intresting setting for game like this

Well, it is from 2006 (right?) - the DLC era was still in its infancy.

Personally I prefer Rome's setting, but medieval Europe is cool too.

The only Total War game I own is Empire: Total War, but I haven't got around to playing it yet. I've had this one on my wishlist for awhile since I absolutely love the Warhammer universe. Thanks for the generous giveaway!

Ah, not keen on that one... Ship battles and muskets, meh!

I really like the Warhammer-verse too, albeit the DLC shenanigans kinda made me stay away from the game.

Haven't played that many TW Games. I think just Medieval II and Shogun II. I really liked how they did the Japan setting so that's my favorite.

How about I leave a sad comment? My own girlfriend broke up with me stating the reason as to why being "I can't handle a relationship right now." and for the past few days I have been bed ridden only leaving my bed to get on my gaming PC to stream a bit of gameplay for what small viewer base I have that has been through the worst year of my entire life before going right back to my bed. I don't start work till later this month and the only thing I have left it seems is gaming, streaming and a future job selling insurance. I will cope, move on and survive.

Thanks for giveaway and taking the time to read this sad but true comment.

Eh. Don't get hung up on stupid people-bullshit like empty civvie preconceptions of some...civvie.
Just a word of reassurance from one that's seen it all and disliked it (;
The humans, society and hypocrisy (or is it ignorance?) triad I mean.

P.S. At least you get to live. By which I mean that you get to live in the cool country with less-fascist-than-elsewhere firearms regulations, even if the federal ("fascist") government ("proprietor and champion of civvies") don't like it... At least take solace in not (yet) being denied the most basic of human rights, hm? (:

Aww. Sorry to hear about that, albeit you have to think of the positive once the first emotions go away - yeah, it is probably for the better that that relationship ended.

Otherwise, try not to have such a daily cycle; it smells of depression. Try to at least go for walks outside, clear your head and breathe fresh air - ideally, though, you'd get some exercise in.
And yeah, not everyone can be a big YouTube/Twitch star; so, you should just enjoy the act of streaming itself!

Thank you and good luck - and may you sure things up in your life!

Streaming has been the best way to cope for sometime for me. Helps with my anxiety as people see my.... face. Putting me into anxious situations helps me handle it better. Only had one severe panic attack last month and it wasn't the worst I had. Thanks and keep on keeping on yourself.

I can definitely see that being a way to try and find anxiousness! Good luck with that, if for no other reason than that one!

The only one I played is Medieval II, which I like very very much. Love it because I'm interested in knights and medieval times and this one is full of them. I spent countless hours at night playing it. Just one more turn! :-D I'd like to try Napoleon, Shogun II, Attila and the two Warhammer ones too, so thank you for the chance! :-)

It is a great game by all accords, so no surprise there!

Well, this one has knights too - human and dwarven, along with some... Other things. ;)

My favorite would be The King's Crusade (too bad it's also bugged), even better would be King Arthur collection-but that is a clone not main TW game.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ah, was interested to see someone mention other games!

Why do you like those two games?

Thank you and good luck!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I like King Arthur due leveling of units, research and buildings and magic, also the game has nice climate. The King's Crusade has nice sieges, but I also like bonuses to choose from and again leveling and some magic effects.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

So both had some light RPG elements, with King Arthur having cool fantasy elements. Both games are a bit underrated!

Permalink

It's true, but I cannot blame people for King's Crusade, as that game sometimes crashes to desktop without the reason.

Ah, well, that unfortunately happens when games are made by smaller studio. :/

To be honest this is not only small studios problem, big studios sometimes makes buggy games as well, the difference is, they usually patch it up quickly.

Well, yeah, that is true; unfortunately the smaller ones rarely have the funds to keep supporting larger games like that.

Shogun 1 was nice, Rome as well, but I really enjoyed Shogun 2! The others felt more generic, so I hope Warhammer will tickle my fancy.

Ah, what made Shogun 2 superior?

I'd hope so, it does look like a good game aside from the flaws.

Thank you and good luck!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think the balancing in the first Shogun left a lot to be desired, I felt it was too harsh and you could get royally screwed by random events, without any hope of recovering. It also lacked the depth of it's successor in the fields of politics and warfare. Maybe it is my young self's had experience that has warped my memories. But I still look back fondly to my days playing! :)

I see, thanks for the input. Sure, it is definitely a bit of an older game so it is no surprise it had such issues... They can't use those excuses for modern games. :P
Well, as long as we enjoyed them - Rome had its fault but I still liked it a whole lot back then.

they are like expansions so you get all the content from 1 in 2 if you own the first game (witch i don't yet) really cool if you own the first game but if you just have 2 it really sucks :(.

I tried to get into Empire Total War but couldn't, the period wasn't doing it for me, and I absolutely couldn't figure out how to do fort battles properly...
But I saw some streams of this one, and it looks much more fun.
To answer one of your questions on a previous post about Mortal Empire, from what I've gathered, you can use the first game as an expansion of the second game, and play all the factions alltogether in a giant campain for world domination.

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, that time period is totally lame for me; same reason why I bounced-off of Cossacks 3 despite the good mechanics.

Ah, interesting. Nice to add something like that to the series, but it's crazy to me that they released a sequel so quickly.

Thank you and good luck!

Shogun 2!! I like it's more focused approach focusing on the main islands of Japan. The shape of Japan also helps I think. The game doesn't turn into a clusterfuck like it does in Europe and North Africa etc.
