What did the one cabbage say to the other cabbage?

Lettuce be friends. ;)

I had no idea that herding cabbages would be so dangerous that armour is required. Or is it just during the breeding season maybe, they get a little boisterous.

Armour? The only piece of armour I could find on the picture was his helmet…

"Steam is learning about this game, therefore some features will be limited (no card drops, achievements won't count, the game will not give a +1 to your library etc.)"

Also means the Steam Gifts won't be able to detect if you already own it...

Hey heavenhairsixes. I hope I'm not bothering you, but I wanted to ask if you might be interested in joining a Steamgifts group I started the other day over here for generous people like yourself. :)

Hey, don't mean to bother or anything, just wanted to ask how you're doing. Are you better?

It's no bother. I was feeling a lot better but the last few days I've taken a turn for the worse. It hardly seems life threatening and I'm assuming I'll be OK soon but I've never had problems with my breathing before and it is a bit scary.

Terribly sorry to hear. Is there anything to take or do in order to make breathing easier? Is there anyone to help or check up on you?

There are people phoning me up - mostly my mom and the people I play tabletop wargames with. Nobody is actually coming near me at the moment. Not sure what to do about the breathing. It's been suggested that I got to the hospital but I don't want to. If it doesn't start improving though I may have to.

I wish I had some advice to give ::scratches head::
The best thing I have is this pixel art that I made many years ago. It doesn't mean anything, it's just a thing I made and was prolly my best. I hope and wish the best for you.
I might say hello again in the future if you're ok with it...?

Still poorly but very much alive. I think I'm going to be OK to say hello in the future but it has been a weird illness. It is better pixel art than I have ever done. I have attached one of my paintings.

Possibly later findings will show that getting COVID immunizes you against the next killer virus, so hey- there could be that 🌞
Thanks for the Mia painting. Very nice colors. I tried painting once (acrylic)... got quite frustrated by the result and what felt like a laborious process.
Pardon the daft question but did you start out as a hobbyist or were you academically trained?

I certainly hope there is some upside to this, right now I'm sick of it - but still alive. I did physics at uni, I was good at maths at school and got pushed down that route. I got into drawing and painting because I liked comics. Acrylics aren't the easiest to work with, they dry very quickly and you have to be quite quick and confident with blending to get good results. I'd imagine that would make it hard for beginners, I got into them because I was already used to using them from painting Warhammer models. Obviously I'm rather a nerd...

Thank you for sharing. Man you sure know your colors. I can't decide whether Tarkin looks more worked on, or is just more recent. Do you ever revisit older paintings or are you constantly moving nextwards? Admittedly I envy your prolificness. So you say it's all self-taught? Any inspirations in that case? ('sides Bob Ross...)

I have almost no experience is colors.
But, I've been deliberating whether to join a painting course or not lately. It's been recommended to me by someone, which is always a good thing, and I can sure use the framework otherwise I prolly won't persist... but I don't know. I keep putting it off.

How's the breathing today? Any difference?
oH, and happy Cakyday or whatever :)

Sorry about the late reply, I actually ended up in hospital and even after getting home it has taken me a while to start catching up on things.

The Tarkin one was a digital painting and it was actually one of the early ones I did when I got my graphics tablet. I've never wanted to be a photocopier and don't generally try to be too realistic but when learning about a new medium I try and do things right and then start exploring from there. So at that stage I was still trying to get everything 'right'.

I do sometimes revisist stuff and I find it interesting - I've attached a few examples. I am a fan of Bob Ross - aside from that it is mostly comic book artists that I admire! Glenn Fabry is probably my favourite and has done some great tutorial books.

I've tried a few art courses, as in evening classes at the local college. It all depends entirely on who is involved. I've been to one that was all 'it's about expressing yourself' where nobody actually had any skills of value to pass on, I went to another where I learnt a lot of practical things from a few of the people that were there. I'd say only consider ones that somebody has actually recommended.

I was going to do an event for my cakeday but that didn't happen due to illness. I will still be doing it once I've caught up on everything else.

I was afraid that something like that had happened, but hey I hope that they finally patched you up you proper at the hospital, equipped with a fresh set of Lungs 2.0 and that you're on your way to full recovery. Much better now?
BTW, do you happen to know if once recovered you're supposed to have acquired some immunity to the virus?

I've seen some of Fabry's work in the past. Some comic book covers probably. His is quite recognizable. I'm looking for a word... visceral, maybe? I don't know. Alex Ross (yup, another Ross) is also a cover artist I used to dig, in case you happened to come across his work and it sounds familiar. He's less expressive than Fabry though, I feel.

Alex Ross does some great stuff but it all looks a bit too clean for my own tastes! Sorry about the very late reply. Sorry about the late reply, it actually took me a while to bounce back and I was really tired and mentally struggling as well for a while. I probably went back to work a bit too early because I felt guilty about having so much tgime off and ended up in a twilight zone of just working and sleeping where I just got behind on everything. I'm feeling a lot better now though.
