Hmm, something funny... maybe this:

In Swedish, the word for both 'poison' and 'married' is "Gift", pronounced the same as well. The word for married is technically a short for 'Giftermål' though, but firstly that describes the concept of being married rather than the state of being married, also, nobody actually says 'Giftermål' nowadays unless deliberately archaic or formal.
