I'm unsure about that. This is a grey area, where obviously if they don't have the hardware now or soon, they will not be possible to play the game. Regardless, the warning is there to hopefully deter those people.
I guess it'd be nice there was some kind of VR filter option for GAs, maybe a checkmark thing for creating it that it requires VR, and people need to update their settings to opt in to VR GAs. Or something XD Unless a game has VR in the title, most peeps don't realize. Especially if they enter via extension and make descriptions not show XD
I am sorry to say, but he is right. We don't enforce custom rules that people list in the description. So nobody actually agrees to the deletion of a giveaway if the key is not working, even if people continue to say so in their descriptions. And in this case not having a VR set does not invalidate anyone's entry. You can of course always choose to not give the game to the winner, but that will result in a 'not received'. Ways to avoid that would be private giveaways where you give the link only to people you know have a headset. Or a group, of course, limited to VR players. But even then I am not sure how you would reliably check if someone really has a headset or not.
I wish they released a non-VR version.
Really want to play some good walking dead action game, especially after Overkill's Walking Dead fiasco (that was absolutely disgusting, this even made them return to continue milking Payday 2).
But one can only dream, I guess...
From what I played of the Overkill Walking Dead Beta, I thought it was kinda fun, actually. Maybe it had more glaring issues that were only visible after playing more in the full version?
Actually, yeah. Released version had shit ton of bugs, terrible connectivity issues, matchmaking system sucked balls. Game was relying on P2P connection, so stuttering every 15secs were frequent.
Game was fun, but technical part was just terrible. Also it died pretty quick. I don't even know if you can find someone to play with, now.
Shame that this requires VR thingies, would have loved to play the game without one ^^ Maybe one day then...
