A much different experience than the other XCOMs, this one was not well-received by most gamers. However, if you are a 3rd person shooter fan, enjoy the lore behind the XCOM aliens, and will actually play this, good luck!

the Fallouts are pretty good, plus they have a lot of replayability with mods.
Never touched STALKER, but have you tried Metro franchise? So good!

Well, I love the Metro book series and the Metro games (Metro2033 and Last Light) are pretty good too.

The Metro series are good, i also have read good things about Stalker, i think Metro 2033 is a secuel from Stalker games tho.
