I got this laptop recently, and while not the best, it still is a heavy upgrade from my previous $300 integrated graphics thingy. If you know any games that aren't necessarily top tier but will still look nice on it, you can recommend them to me :D

Same here. I had the bundle fever a few years back and managed to pack my backlog something fierce.
Now I think I get maybe about 5 games I want each year. Maybe even less.
And about the laptop, it looks like it could run a Nintendo Switch emulator pretty decent, if you're interested in that.

I only emulated once in my life, Medievil on EPSXE. Are there any materials on Switch emulation?

Yuzu use is documented pretty well documented, there are monthly development updates and a nice reddit community where you can get feedback and info.
Compatibility is good with the high profile games (Mario stuff, Pokémon, Monster Hunter, etc.). But even so, note that it's still a work in progress so there may still be crashes, slowdowns or graphical glitches.
The other emulator, Ryujinx, seems to be running pretty good, but I haven't used it much.

I quickly searched through your Steam library and saw that you didn't have a gem of a game (in my opinion) that isn't graphically or CPU intensive—RimWorld. It's usually about $30 and rarely goes on sale, but the single dev has created a great game and frequently interacts with the community (typically on the games website as opposed to the Steam site, unless things have changed since the last time I had the opportunity to look). Additionally, there is a massive number of really great mods created by the community (if that's your thing).

Thank you for this giveaway Decadent Hamster! 🙏🏻 When I check for games I really like to use the website called Can you RUN it to see if games at least run in my Minimum specs. It does help to have things in the recommended for an optimal way. My PC is close in specs with yours and I believe you're able to play pretty much everything I own on my Steam library. What genres do you like to play?

I do know the page :D I checked and can launch 99% of the games actually. But it's a different question of "what will launch" and "what will look nice", hence the question. And I like a lot of games, the genres I mostly dislike are old style point n click adventure games, racing games, heavily open world focused games and survivals with constant hunger/stuff like that pressure

It's hard to name a specific range of games that you can actually play. I personally don't know a website or a tool that it can tell you that. I have grown all my life to struggle with some games that I wanted to play because my PC would not handle the Ultra Settings. So, because of that, I become less picky of how the game looks, if it runs in a decent 40-60 fps. Heck, I even played games like Assassin's Creed 3 when it came out at 15-20 frames and didn't have an issue. Because I'm so desensitized to frame and just wanna play the games, I don't mind it unless it lags badly and ruins the flow and experience.
But if you want to be on the safe side, I would probably say games that are beyond 2018, you'd struggle to have them running past 30 frames on Ultra Settings. The rest should run just fine. If you go for AAA games of course. Indie games are more forgiving on specs consumption.
