Honestly I don't read the descriptions on giveaways unless they're important (e.g. region-restricted; the giveaway might show up for people who already own the game because they're giving away a bundle/pack with DLCs). People who complain on a giveaway website are just weird and miserable. I may have only interacted with you now but I can speak for people who participated/won in your giveaway that we're thankful for what you have done. I hope you'll feel better as you stay away from the toxic people.

It's really sad how the bad can dominate the good. There are many hopeless and miserable people in the world and internet is an easy platform for them to spread their toxicity. You can't stop that kind of people from complaining because for them you're just a person who gives away free stuff. They don't know what generosity means, they've never bought anything for someone they don't know. What you've done in this website made many people happy. I've joined many of your giveaways and even I didn't win anything it was awesome to see high quality games given here. So please don't make silly people pull you down into their hell. It really is sad how people treat others for free stuff, really. But I’m sure there were people who have genuinely appreciated you in the time you have been active on here. I, for example, did. I loved reading your descriptions, them being different from all the short ones like „Good luck!“ or „Leftover from Humble Bundle“ (even though I didn’t put in many efforts myself :/). Seeing you leave for now, it somehow makes me sad, but I really, really am glad that you are taking care of yourself. I’m glad you’re taking care of your mental health. That is a very important thing to do many, many people neglect.

I really don't know you, I can't recall if I ever joined to your giveaways at all, but I usually check the introduction of a giveaway, even though I'm not writing a response to it, it's pretty rare from me. Not because, that I don't like to interact with others, it's because I can't really say something which worth the time to read it.

Either way, it's really nice that you actually try to get games for others to make them happy, it's a really rare and beautiful thing to do, however from my experience, sometimes it's better to approach someone directly, who you know and give them joy like that, then use a site similar SteamGifts, where some users just here for a free game, which they never play or to add another number to their profile or never thank or care about the other person who give something to them. However I also understand, this is the right way to do, if you want to give everyone a chance.

It's demotivating to see such thing, especially to not care about each other. I hope you will find a way to reward those, who indeed want something and appreciate it and I hope you get all those appreciation back, which you ever gave out to someone, in your life. Keep doing what you feel right, and don't worry the negative comments, which don't have a solid reason to hate you.

I'm mortified you had to deal with that sort of people but unfortunately not surprised. I had to deal with the same issue when I first joined, prior judging my character sorely on how long I've been on that website and there is no end to the unsavory characters you can meet around here.
At some point, you're forced to make some choices to not feel like you're giving your hard earned money to people unable to appreciate the thought and thinking of you as a cash cow. Beside making your own group, and even in that group, making your GA lvl 3 should already clean on a part of the population only here to take and never to give, blacklisting is always a good option to not deal twice with those who can't be thankful.
I've been reading your description, I have been really happy to do so and even if I hadn't, it's your giveaways and your rules, you're free to post whatever you want in this free space and I don't understand how some people can be upset by that. Isn't it a completely stupid reaction ? As you are free to write what you want, people are free to read it not, why even bothering being nasty? Some people should really stick to the rule "don't say anything if what you say isn't kind. What is the point in being mean and making someone's day a bad one?
I also have been commenting on other giveaways and happy to learn about you and your tastes. I'm be applying to your group and will keep reading your descriptions, you always have something interesting to say ❤️

If something starts to cause stress instead of bringing a little joy it is indeed best to take a break.

There will always be someone spreading negativity, so if you are able to skim over them and not pay attention you'll save yourself a lot of nerve cells. As Jesus once said: You can't please everyone.

I am experiencing something very similar (except I'm dealing with those people face to face, so that part sucks), so I can empathize with you. Seems like lately everyone is a little angrier.

My unsolicited advice - focus on things that make you happy, because if something causes you stress and makes you anxious not only is it a waste of time, but also a waste of your own self. And energy spent on someone who doesn't appreciate you won't be spent on someone who would.

Yeah, most people sucks, it's something that we learn eventually, the lack of empathy is awful.

I'm sorry to see you leave, but your own health is more important than any community. I've dealt with some of the egocentric people here and elsewhere myself, and they sure drain the energy away from you fast... If there is any consolidation, know that there are plenty of good moments you have given to people who play the games you give away, who you likely never hear from. You have been a source of happiness, and indecent comment-flinging from trolls does NOT negate that.
