Description

Welp, here comes my 1st giveaway. Good luck

Edit: 700 entries, 2 thank you comments. Gotta love the community. :3
Edit 2: Not hating anybody with the comment above, I was simply expecting more, but I don't blame people for being lazy (so many giveaways, should I post thx in every of them) or considerate of my notification counter. Cheers

Cheers, thank you!!

well, some of the giveaways creators do not like commenting and spamming with "thank you" xD

Might be true - I didn't think about it, because it's my 1st one. Also noticed clever inclusion of "thank you" into comment. ;)

Yeah, when the unread messages thing was first added people started adding, "don't post thanks unless you win or you'll get blacklisted," because when everyone makes a thank you post you end up with a few thousand unread messages.
So now most people only post thank yous if they win, weren't around for that fiasco or if they are a bot.

But since I'm already posting something, thanks for the giveaway!

Hmm, interesting. After a little bit of introspection I realised I disagree with your statement about enjoying act of giving. For me it's more like "I'm not going to enjoy playing this game, so might as well give it to somebody that actually will"
From that it seems obvious to me that I'm not seeking validation for my act (though thx from a winner probably should happen, because the person actually got what they to play, and probably is happy about it).
As for my statement about 2 comments in 700 entries - I'm not sure if I can express what I think clearly but I'll try:
During my time on Steamgifts I noticed that people are actually very cultural here. Also in many giveaways I've seen people thanking multiple times for giveaways and that sort of made me to believe that this is proper and common action. So after seeing 700:2 ratio (it seems like a really small number of people) I was a little bit dejected that I'm interacting with "I get all, gib no thing back" part of community, but in comments above Rootwater and Orgodemir reminded me, that many people equals many perspectives, so now I understand that not spamming comments is actually many people being considerate for my notification counter (or just being honestly lazy :3 not that it's something evil).

I don't usually say thank you/comment in giveaways (unless they are either blue heart giveaways or if the person indicated they would appreciate a comment or thanks). However, I will always say thank you if I win a giveaway!:)

Very nice choice for your first giveaway! Thank you for the chance!:)

No, I think not.
But this sure looks like a place where I can test if comment formatting works the way I think it does without bothering anyone :3
