Now, lad, I cannae say I approve of this "giving away things for free" business, but it is right an' proper for folks to admire the dwarves.

Well, that gets all sorts of awkward once onself notices that you didn't clarify whose beard you're stroking..

LOL, certainly not that titan's :-P

Just think of it as a really, really, really big dwarf. Who has anger issues, and has already consumed enough dwarven ale to pickle a dragon, and is now stumbling around in a drunken stupor with a bad case of the munchies. That's basically all a titan is, right? Pretty sure I've got that lore down solid, yeah.
Though I suppose Eren's pointy-eared titan form is that of a giant elf. Must be a Tolkien-style universe [wherein Elves have better alcohol resistance than dwarves], since he seems to be able to hold his liquor a fair bit better than the dwarves do.

I'm not sure anyone has the lore of that show down solid, even the creators XD

Yeah.. that does seem like a fair assessment. :P
If you ever give the series's wiki [which, like most anime wikis, incorperates light novel and manga sources] a look, the overall lore actually does feel pretty random and screwy and abstractly interwoven, so it's no wonder that the streamlined anime version ends up feeling even more disconnected than other versions of the story. The anime is rather fun to watch, at least, even if that damn theme song gets stuck* in your head way too easy (and that's before you even get influenced by the dozens of excellent cover versions).
*Rather much like the Game of Thrones song does, once you learn its lyrics.
Anyway, that aside, if you're not against the show, don't mind things like cussing, and haven't already, give the abridged version of Attack on Titan a go, as it's one of the best Abridged offerings out there. Unfortunately, it got cancelled after the first episode (purportedly due to copyright claims, despite it clearly falling under parody exceptions), so there's not much of it there to watch. :S

Honestly I get access to it slowly via netflix, so I don't really know what's going on with it, and I've only seen the anime :) I do hope there's a season 3 coming, though.
