It really is not. If you never played Drakengard, heck, even then. You will be really confused about the overall "plot". As it all starts with Drakengard 1. And it goes towards Nier Automata. But you need to look beyond what the game tells you to have "some idea" of things.
Not telling you to not be interested. Just remember, you will need to dive REALLY deep into the rabbit hole on this.

Ohh yea. Well I hope so too haha. Replicant is decent (Automata better), but with how it tells it might rob people the "wrong way" ;). Unless it was changed from my PS3 copy.

Adam is right, I was talking about the OP's game in the description. I'm stoked to enter the GA for Nier Replicant because I played the HECK out of Drakengaard way back when, and really loved Nier Automata!! (Though I didn't play anything in the middle, and to be honest I don't actually see much of the connection between Drakengaard and Nier. Drakengaard I just love "feeding" my weapons for hours and then hopping on my dragon pal and fireballing everything)

Yea, Drakengard was fun for sure with dragon fights and all those weapons. 3 had some nice improvements, but that "sister love" was something, haha.

Galcon Fusion is the same type of game. I always liked these types of games, not sure what they are called. So I wanted to make a low poly medieval game with relaxing music based off of the same mechanics as games like Galcon Fusion.
