Anything in my power. But sadly society won't let you do that. If I'd lose someone, it would likely be because I can't afford to help them through a health issue. That's one of my biggest fears.

I thought Finnish healthcare is one of the best in the EU?!?

It is, but it's not entirely free or entirely without its issues, and I don't know how it would be for more serious things, should they ever happen. And my family is about to be going through hard times soon. I've seen how governments treat people, and if they can help it, it's the same type of treatment everywhere. Finland just hasn't caught up to the severity other places have yet.

Well, I have to confess I'm not very informed about Finish politics. As far right I could see... We all have to deal with politics changing from time to time. All we can hope for is that a new government isn't going to destroy all the good work a former has achieved.
I wish you the best and remember we are lucky to live in countries that have high living standards even for those not on top.

Thank you, and same to you. I always remember that. I am alive, healthy and with healthy loved ones close to me. I also originally come from a far worse place. It's just difficult to not lose one's strength when faced with circumstances that can't be helped and the constant of an unstable, day-to-day future. Then again, isn't the future like that by default? We live on and hold onto our dreams.

Wish you the best as I can't imagine the horrors you must have faced on your journey. In case you wanna stay in Finland prove those hateful people wrong by learning Suomi and speaking a better tongue than they do. I know it's possible as my native language is also not the easiest to learn and I know a bunch of migrants that speak better than many wannabe nationalists. It doesn't matter where you're from. What matters is how you live your life and how you treat your neighbors. In this sense welcome to the EU, part of this tiny blue ball called Earth.

I'm actually from the EU. Greece. But it has destroyed my mother's pension, so now we're faced with circumstances no one can really help. But I won't let go. And you're right. We live well, on this tiny blue ball called Earth, and that's so much more than many people get to hold onto. :) Thank you for your kind words, and for making this tiny Earth a little bit better.
