Basically it is a re-release.

I could go into a very long story but I'll try to make it short.

Tales from the Borderlands was released by Telltale Games. In 2018 in went bankrupt (despite ALL Telltale games being very well liked). Shortly after all TT (Telltale) games were pulled from stores. In 2019 it was announced they would be back, a company was buying the IP (Intellectual Property). In 2020 the Walking Dead games were brought back. Then this month Tales from Borderlands was re-released, however the Publisher is now 2K (who bought the games off the company who bought the IP), and instead of using the old release date they decided to make it like new.

The AppID is the same (I am pretty sure) so the key for this should still activate the same product. If not please allow Vecchia to contact Humble and ask for a new key, or allow him to delete the giveaway ... I haven't heard any news about activating an old Steam Code for this game so it may or may not work.
