Okay.. imagine this!
It's year 2000, winter.
There is no school. You've played with your friends outside for the whole entire day. You are cold and you have a runny nose, your underwear and socks are wet and you can barely feel your fingers anymore.
You finally decide enough is enough and you go home.
Now the best part of that day starts. After you get comfy in your pajamas and with a handful of snacks and drinks you get cozy at your computer desk.
You turn it on and after a few seconds the old Win98 logo welcomes you.
On the right side of the screen you have the eye candy icons of your favourite games... Network Q RAC Rally, Doom II, NFS 2, Atomic Bomberman, Virtua Cop 2, GTA, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Earthworm Jim, Supaplex, StarCraft, Age of Empires, Prehistorik, SimCity 3000, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Re-Volt, a shortcut icon to Windows Paint as well (because we all know we considered Paint a game as kids)... and of course, Disney's Hercules.
You decide to double click the last one.
The night is young and your eyes don't hurt as much as they do nowdays. Time to get back in that cozy seat from 2000 and have a nostalgia trip with this gem! <3
Nostalgia indeed... Gosh, thanks for bringing back some really pleasant memories. :-) I had Virtua Cop 2, GTA, Earthworm Jim, StarCraft, Age of Empires from this list, and of course MS Paint! :-) Personally, I played a lot of Icewind Dale that winter. Great little event you have going on, and of course if you need to take a break or retire, I hope that you get some time to spend for yourself and buy/play some games that you have wanted to! I think for me it was before ’00… I had no home computer so I attempted “lessons” on public one… I were smart enough to beat the first boss… I’m still proud of it!
