You say you "look for the good in games, all games have some good in them"...but that fails to account for our most precious resource, time. If we are playing trash games, we waste it when we could be learning from historical story-driven games, or being creative in quality sandbox and builder games, honing management skills in simulations, or practicing programming with games like Shenzhen I/O or Human Resource Management. My point is, most people choose the best or near best in a genre they love because they don't want to waste their life on poor quality, half-assed, buggy, time vampire cash grabs. Even gamers that just enjoy shooters (that don't really have anything to teach us) still want to play games like DOOM with amazing ratings because it is a one of the best forms of entertainment for someone that enjoys that style. That's why good reviews are important.

Not attacking you personally, just something to think about. Be willing to give negative reviews, even if you still mention positives about the game because some games are just bad and you (as a reviewer) should save people time by warning us. Or getting the devs to fix the problems you point out, to make the game good. Either way, it's better than just slapping a thumbs up on everything. :D Good luck!
