I wanted to say something about old memes for a moment, but fortunately, I stopped myself just in time.

Took a loong 1-2 second to realize that it is a pun, and not just "random game out for Harambe". Take it as being grumpy about myself and impressed by how it turned out :P

Given a bit more context, I think I understand now. :)

Congrats. As a creator, it's hard for me to measure the difficulty, so I want to ask - did you find it hard to find the answer?

It was pure luck. I guessed that there would be some gibz but I didn't had time to think (at work ;) ). Then I noticed capitalization on RoAD. Then it took few seconds to think about rest of the sentence. Not too hard and not too easy. I liked it. :)

that's a really awesome code you got here

I'm starting to realise that, as more and more people keep mentioning that to me, but if I didn't accidentaly just look at it, there would be just a normal ticket with hiperlink, and no one would probably ever know. :(
It's probably going to be a difference between our, and another reality in multiverse.

yeah, that probably happens a lot and people just miss it

Umm, not sure if I see what you see. The only thing that comes to my mind is resemblance to a name "Jacob". I guess some of those codes are more obvious than others...

which is my name (in my language it's Jakob)

Oh, if that's the case then it's really, really, really, ... , really lucky coincidence.
Have you tried winning some gifts on SG afterwards?

The RoAD took me a bit of time because the obvious solution looked like a trick and the "RoAD" as 4 of the 5 needed letters were "too good to be true".
I don't trusted it and searched and searched and searched....... :-D

Sorry for you wasting your time. Even though many people have more of it nowadays, I still don't like wasting it. However, just like I recently heard in Cyrano story: "Much of the pain inflicted is self chosen". Hope the train will have something for you.

I don't seen it as wasted time in this case. The solution was "clear", i was only teached from other mostly frustrating puzzle experiences that it can't be so easy :-D
So it was my own fault not to trust into a easy solution.
I think a easier one is nice and not frustrating and because of that no wasted time.

I had all Games from the train but that isn't important. Nice texts, nice Thread, so all fine :o)

Oh and yes most of the pain is self chosen, i know that very well with my chronic. illness that get started from stress or better from how i handle it. And from indirect self punishments for stuff of my past.

Oh my god I'm such an idiot. I tried the code a couple of times. But I didn't know that I had to add the last / at the end of the link. Well I guess I now know

Ow, that is indeed unfortunate. Hope you'll at least enjoy the train. Congrats on making it here! :)

Ok, I give up. Why Road? Is there a chicken crossing it? :D :D

Thanks!

I'm not sure why. Algorithm decided to grant me this giveaway code, and I decided to use it. There's nothing more to it as far as I'm aware. If that's what you're asking about, that is.
Also, why would you give up, when you're already inside and have solved the puzzle?

Nah, mind me not, my mind goes to strange places.... I love when people use the random 5-letter code in creative ways (I have tried before, with limited success), and yours was indeed a great code, and your puzzle was very fitting and nice. And thanks for the GAs too!

But the code does sound like another enigma, no? I mean -- "Y Road"? So it felt like the gods of RNG wanted to ask you "Why did the chicken cross the road?", but missed the middle words. So my overactive imagination came up with something like this:

"Y Road?"
"Huh.... no idea, I give up. Why road?"
"2 Side!"

And laughing ensues... huh... well, maybe....

As I said, don't mind me... :D :D :D

Cheers!

Wow, that's pretty clever. Reading your reasoning was like playing some strategy game by always choosing military victory, and one day your friend comes in ,and defeats you with economic victory, and you're like "Wait, you can play this game in such a way?!"

Now, if we had a "2Side" 5-letter code, that would be awesome! Maybe I should try to create a bunch of GAs until that code pops up, so we can link our puzzles together and....

....huh.... ok, bad idea. :D

Anyway, thanks again for a chance at Dex (listen gods of RNG: I should win, it sounds like my username!).

And now you got me to think that they should make a strategy game where you win not by power, nor economy, nor religion, but.... by killing your opponents with bad jokes.

Cheers!

Perhaps the game is already running, and the last joke used was... bat joke.
...
Crickets facepalming.
I'll excuse myself.

Okay, thanks for the train and I am a little gobsmacked I found it, I usually read these intros and give up. I think the placing of the y may have been the tricky part for me :)

Huh, didn't think SG would generate a code like this. Pretty neat :D
And Dex is a great game as well, I played it and liked it a lot, it's like a poor man's Deus Ex :)
