I've reported him via Steam but I don't see the report option via SteamTrades.

Is their one? Please ban this guy. I'm sick of people impersonating me.

Calling out is against the rules.

Well I've removed it but seriously, I'm not allowed to list a blatant scammer? What kind of world is this. :/

lol, that user have another account that added me to trade. He must have several of them.

Oh, just saw it's the same account, you'll see my -rep on his profile.

Thanks, I appreciate it but I'm being told to remove the links to his profiles as calling out a blatant scammer with sufficient evidence is against the rules apparantly. :/

It's ridiculous to be honest since their is no way of reporting them via SteamTrades.

Calling out isn't allowed for several reasons. One of those is to prevent witchhunts. (Imagine how easy it is to say someone scammed you and get a whole forum to start bashing the person and worse).

That being said: I'm sorry to hear someone is using your name to scam others.

I was trying to trade Civ 6, he saw my comment on a thread on ST, added me, checked his profile, saw the -rep, compared profiles, and saw the scam incoming. Accepted his friend request, 1 second after he talked to me, asked me if I still had the game. You can see the conversation on his profile, with screencapture that I took, and alerted the user he was impersonating.

TBH, if you get scammed, it's because you haven't done a proper research.

Edit: Just saw the conversation that he had with a user that he scammed. The user sent the key before receiving the money lol.

ST is now a separate site from SG so no report option there and nothing you can do here since you are not allowed to post link to his profile.
Reporting him to steam cause he is using some off steam site to trade using your name (if he is not claiming he is you-linking your steam profile as his) will do nothing since it is not against the rules as far as I know. (unless you have proof he tried to scam you or someone else)
That is the problem with steam allowing the same name to be used on multiple people :/

Steamtrades has no moderation. Use IndieGameSwap instead if you want actual moderators/admins that'll help in these cases. I think LesTrade also has moderation too, but not sure about barter.vg.

Barter.vg has very reliable moderation, as well as very reliable support (ie, for dealing with bugs, user errors, site concerns, or documentation questions). In fact, Barter has a long-standing reputation for its rapid, dedicated updates in response to user considerations [that reputation usually mentioned as a contrast to a certain other site we're familiar with]. The lengthy absence of the administrator for a while there likely confused that impression, but the site seems to be back to full responsiveness now.

You can report about him on SteamRep, sometimes they marking the impersonators.
