Actually "what a shit port" is a valid excuse. If I have a 30 FPS lock on PC I just can't play a game. A game needs to run smooth or I won't enjoy the gameplay. Period. Happened with Scarygirl and Viking: Battle for Asgard. Not that they were good games because they were not. Still, they were even less enjoyable with 30 FPS lock.
But yeah, I don't like excuses either. I very rarely stop playing a game because I always try to do my best to get into it. Games has to really, and I mean really suck or bore me for me to stop playing it. Or it may not be my cup of tea of course but before playing a game I always try to find out whether I'd like it or not.

Many of us prefer and only really enjoy non-linear FPS games, its a valid complaint if the whole game is point A to B, really drives down the experience IMO.

And they're not little girls, they're around 15-16. It's perfectly normal for females to be attractive and for the artist to emphasize their sexuality. They look like little girls because of the artistic design, similar to one called "chibi". It's an art style, they aren't 10 year old girls.

While there's no doubt making a game for handheld holds back potential I really don't see why people get furious over a game on being on a certain platform. There man reason why a developer would choose a handheld rather than a home console and vice versa budget probably being one of them. I'm not a fanboy of any platform and I just like playing games no matter what platform they're on.
I don't have a problem with the top one to be honest, it's pretty damn skimpy, but I'll agree that the bottom one is too much. Also one thing to remember is that without Nitendo localizing this, a mostly family friendly game developer and publisher. If it weren't for them we wouldn't see this game in English at all.
But the thing is Metal Gear Rising is a console port, not all console ports are going to be on par with PC games. People need to stop assuming they all will be. I haven't played the game, but from what I can seen its not a shit port and just because its locked at 1080p which is a perfectly playable resolution doesn't make it one either.

Well some people will bitch because of the lost potential of having it on a more powerful Console/PC, mostly hard core fans, I can bring up a fine example, That Deus Ex game on tablets/phones, many hated that because of the platform.
I personally think its offensive, sure I DO, but we can't censor everything, the world would become terrible, ever hear a censored Hip hop album, atrocious. My point is that the change wasn't even that big, if you ask me the top ones worse haha, see opinions am I right :-D. That said maybe people should just pay attention to what there children play...
Honestly I feel like any cap on the PC is a terrible design choice, sure most wont mind, but that guy with a 1440p monitor is gonna be like "The fuck is this? Everything is blurry". I feel like if people can mod old games from the 90's up to 1080p and higher that a dev should be able to put the damn effort into the game to do the same, I mean shit its 2014, 1080p is kinda the norm now, many people have higher if they just built rigs. I know I would have higher if I was building a new system right now.

The only reason I think MGSR should get a pass is because it's the studio's first ever attempt at a PC game/port and the complaints should instead be expressed as issues needed to be addressed in future products from them, something they can learn from, not something that should be fixed within this very game.
I think the censoring is the really silly thing here, not the complaints about it. As if that type of censoring changes anything. It only ruins the artistic vision of the developers, all for the sake of political correctness or something like that. And, as I've said in other replies, they aren't that little, they're teenagers, and it's fine to feel attracted to them or for artists to emphasize their characters' sexuality. You only feel guilty because you're an adult if you are attracted to a teenager (because of the way civilization evolved), but biologically it is perfectly normal.

Preorder shouldn't have any rewards or discounts as far as I'm concerned. It should be purely for supporting the devs. I have no problem buying the game at full price. Who plays RPGs to be surprised? I can think of only a couple surprises/un-expected things that have happened in RPGs, one of the being when Palom and Porom sacrifice themselves in Final Fantasy IV, and another being when it turns out that Porkey has been working with Giygas all along in Mother 2. I dunno, it's just like books- most of the time they have predictable plots. No plot can be so perfect that you have no idea what will happen while still being amazing, so eh.

Although I can agree with you to an extent, the characters were designed to be 15, and then they just changed the numberings in the west. So they're actually 15, no matter what they try to say. Also, there's still not "okay" with thouse outfits from a feministic point of view.
Also, with the handheld, sure, they could probably be on a home console as well or instead, but handhelds need their exclusives, and some companies cannot or will not maketheir games multi-platform.
But true, moving a series from console to console, like Kingdom Hearts, it just plain stupid, I have to agree.
As with the resolution lock, that only matters if you actually own monitor not compatable with 1080p, if you do, that's not a legit complaint.

'This franchise is overrated and/or the internet hates it so I automatically hate it too' trend. One example, a friend called me a fag just because he saw a copy of MW3 in my room. Even when I said I play it for the campaign.
"Cartoon-y graphics" - My dad watching Borderlands 2 (and WWE '13 another time) gameplay for the first time.
"You can't teabag in that game and the guy runs like a douchebag" - A friend of mine when GTA IV was released on consoles. He also got mad when his Xbox 360 froze and didn't save the game because he turned autosave off "because it was annoying".
'Graphics' excuse. I pitched Mark of the Ninja to my 13-year old nephew during an XBLA sale and he didn't care because it didn't have 3D graphics. He also found TellTale's Walking Dead unappealing as well.
'It's not a multiplayer game' excuse, mainly from a friend. Also said he "fucking hated" the PS3 version of Skyrim because it was boring, and had no mods despite not doing much in the game.
"This game is boring anymore", a trademark quote from my cousin and our friend who sometimes play a game once for a few hours (or numerous times for a few weeks) and uninstall it despite not doing everything or a decent amount of stuff in said game.

Sadly, I think that friend was being serious when he told me the reasons he didn't like GTA IV. Back then I also asked another high school friend of mine if he liked GTA IV when it released, he said "Well I started the game up, did the first mission, went bowling and turned it off." Not sure if that other friend got that far in the game I believe he still plays it. However I did enjoy the plot of GTA IV, it was pretty great. As for the one friend who mainly favors multiplayer games, it's kind of sad seeing how he turns down some good single player games I suggest. The only good thing about it is that he tries to find multiplayer games for all of us to play, yes, including WarZ. :P

I agree, CoD can be pretty fun once you get past the hate and overrated-ness of the franchise. I've bought every one since Modern Warfare 2 even just for the campaign, single-player modes and just recently multiplayer for Ghosts and haven't regret getting any of them. Not sure why my dad disliked the graphics of BL2 since he was a huge fan of Wolfenstein 3D back in the day, I'm guessing he expects games these days to have high quality graphics. :P
I agree about graphics, graphics shouldn't be the only deal breaker when it comes to playing/liking a game. The top notch graphics might be appealing but it doesn't always mean the game will be fun or great.

"Seriously Nintendo? You censored Bravely Default because you thought it was too sexual?" - Bravely Default. Bunch of people are pissed off because Nintendo of Europe edited the game to have less revealing clothes on characters who are around 15 years old.
"This game is locked at 1080p? What a shit port" - Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. People bitching about Metal Gear Rising being 1080p despite never of played the PC version and the game itself having dedicated PC graphic options.
