Yes, people don't understand difference between support member and moderator, as everyone is part of the support / moderation team. But with different privileges. It should be explained more clearly somewhere, as page with permissions is hard to read for newcomers.
Also I'd agree that people can just add people they like to WL. They may adore Gaffi, but hate me. So I should not be automatically added to their WL GA if they'd pick "mods" option.

In general the idea is:
when you create a GA you have an option to choose WL everyone ETC...
my idea is to add yet ANOTHER option, MODS!!
That's right, we can choose if we want to have this GA opened to moderators as well (when choosing groups and WL), that way, we can contribute to the people that help support this website, hopefully this will catch on, as there's nothing bad with it, and only merit.
my idea of the day =p.
