Hei Gifters,

I have won a game Overloard: Rising Hell, it turned out it is a DLC for Overloard although registered on steam as individual game. I did turned off the DLCs for the games I do not own, but this game still was in the list. Now I received the key and do not know what to do. I did put mark on "received" on a page in order not too give bad carma to the gift creator.

Should I make another giveaway, but re-gifting is prohibited? What options?

PS: search showed that the game was in a bundle on bundlestars with original game...

So, he didn't send you the advertised game ? Mark as not received.

Or is it that you won a DLC you already own ? Not sure I understand.

The gifter is good, he sent it. I marked as received, but can return the key to him....

Standalone game, but requires Overlord. I did not expect that. I do not participate in DLCs for games I do not own.

Not sure if support does re-rolls for keys, but contact the giveaway creator and give him back the key.
Positive feedback should only be used for games and DLCs you activate on your account, nothing else.

If the creator of the giveaway created a giveaway for Overlord : Rising Hell, which is a standalone game, he must provide this game.

He won't be granted a reroll, he should either provide the correct game or bear the "not received" mark.

Ahhh, I see, I'm starting to understand... It's a DLC but you can enter even if you don't own the game.

I was pretty far. OP, disregard my posts.
You can either buy the game to activate the DLC (terrible advice since there's no justification as to why you should buy the game just to activate your win)

or

Contact the creator of the giveaway and tell him to ask for a reroll

or, even better,

make a support ticket.

He didn't give you the game advertised in the giveaway you entered, so you should mark it as not received.

He did gave the game: but it turned out as standalone DLC.

If he didn't give you Overlord: Raising Hell, ask him to give you it. If he doesn't, just mark as not received.

If he did give you Overlord: Raising Hell, you should just activate it and at some point get the base game.

Overlord Rising Hell is a DLC. But you can enter giveaway without having original game.

I understand that, but there's literally nothing he can do except keep it and at some stage get the base game.

I tried, I cannot activate without original game, and probably too long to wait for a deal on the original.

You have two options then:

Keep it and eventually activate it once you have the original game.

Or contact the giveaway creator and explain the situation to him. He will delete the giveaway or have support delete it for him.

The best solution is - buy original game, then activate this dlc.

Same problem. I was the one giving a key though.

The guy asked me to re-roll the winner (Not mark received, just leave it blank) and now I'm waiting for supports.

Yes, because of that I do not want problems for the gift creator. I marked it as received and created a ticket (just now).
