Guild Wars 2 worth it ?

Guild Wars 2 is amazing and fun to play, but the player base is slowly starting to get filled up by spam bots and hackers, so be careful with that.

Guildwars 2 is not worth it. A lot People left/leave this game cause no content and arenanet dont care. I have 8k hours in GW2 and when you do alot trading on tradepsot you can easily see many people left this game.
And absolut nothing to do at 80 once you did the dungeons - the only content they bring is some shitty story content where you have to read some npc textlines for 30 min - this all 2 weeks and they call this living story. Most pathetic and overhyped game ever.
Download every other free2play mmo and you has more to do.

I have it, i love it. But as always i'm not playing it anymore, because all of my friends that were playing it are not anymore, and i'm not really a solo MMO player.

To answer your question. Depends. The MMO is awesome and fun with both PVE and PVP (and WvWvW). But if you are like me that is not a solo player, that doesn't bother searching for guilds and people to play with and you have no friends to play it with, then No!

Personally GW2 was underrated and overrated in all the wrong areas. D3 was overhyped and under developed (so little freaking content even with expansion which I also own). I buy D3 just to help pay blizzard back for all the good times D2 gave me, which also sucked at first, so i'm giving it time.

Is GW2 worth it? I'd say definitively.
You can get it on sale for 20$ now and I'd say that alone is very little just for the SinglePlayer story content.
If you'd still spend 5-15$ on Portal 2 because it was fun, your 20$ for GW2 will be very well-invested.

Just from the point when you take away all the MMO-stuff since apart from a few exceptions you can basically play your story without having to interact with other players much and it's quite a long story for a game imo AND there are dozens (very many) different story paths you can go through depending on your character choice and decisions along your story its WAY more single player story fun for the buck than any other game i know of.

But the biggest advantage to GW2 is it gives you (almost) total freedom over what type of game you want it to be. Wanna only play your story and PvE? Very much fun. Wanna only play PvP? Go right along without having to grind or lvl anything (tho you will suck bc you have no gaming-experience but thats another point). Wanna just grind resources and craft stuff? Hell yes! (I mean heck I made quite an impressive number of lvl-ups just by gathering resources, not to speak of crafting).

Thats the point about the game. Any of those possible "game-styles" it provides as alone enough content, depth and fun to be worth buying. Take the fact that you dont have to choose but can take it all at once and there is no other game that I know of that provides that much fun content.

You still might not like it. Thats to you, I cant tell you that. But my point is from a fun-per-buck point, asking "is it worth it?" then I'd say, if GW2 is not worth it, then no game is.

I am playing it every day and yes, it's absolutely worth it!
Every month you get free content, a part of the so-called "Living Story" and it's usually good stuff.
I just bought D3 and if I had to choose only 1 game, I'd go with GW2.
