I can agree with that.... TBOI felt like a more fulfilling experience all-round. But I'm particularly interested in another McMillen/Refenes collaboration, as Tommy has some mad skills in the bank, and I'd like to see them unleashed on something more procedural like Mew-genics, as opposed to the more action orientated SMB.
TBOI: Rebirth will definitely be an instant purchase, but I know McMillen has far more to give beyond Isaac's mechanics...

Ed McMillen and Tommy Refenes have revealed a little more about their upcoming project, Mew-genics.
Seemingly at a loss for words to describe the game, McMillen resorts to a short anecdote of one situation you may find yourself in when playing. The self-described "cat-lady sim" is expected by the end of the year for Steam, iOS and Android.
If you enjoyed the duo's previous Super Meat Boy, or McMillen's Binding of Isaac as much as me, I'm sure your anticipation must be palpable...
