I went into the game telling myself I wouldn't go for Hanako because that'd be so obvious and everyone picks her.

That didn't go so well.

try it out. But a word of warning, it's a Visual Novel so expect more like reading a novel with some choices rather than a proper game. Some people voiced their disappointment when they jump in and expected a game rather than a novel. If that's no problem for you than do play KS, it's great :)

I've heard of Saya no Uta, a friend keeps suggesting me to play it because I played Katawa Shoujo. He gave me a quick summary of the plot, and it sounds pretty intriguing.

Wow, Thanks for the suggestions :) Been planning to get a 3DS so I guess Theresia, 999, Virtue's Last Reward and Hotel Dusk will put me over the edge and force me to go pick one up.

Deardrops is the same developer as Kirakira. I played it too, In Deardrops you'll meet Kirakira main Heroine as a Cameo. Its both a great game. Has a little Sexual Content.. (As far as i remember you'll get 2x short Hentai scene on every heroine on deardrops, same as Kirakira)
