So I decided to play Home tonight because I remembered seeing people that were glad it was in the Indie Royale bundle (although they could've been sarcastic!) and that it's a good game, etc.

After playing through the game, I must say that I'm disappointed. It wasn't much of a challenge and (IMO) it was actually pretty darn boring. Especially after watching the trailers on Steam, I expected... I don't know... more?

I may play through it again some time, to make a different choice in the basement. See what happens. But, otherwise, I was pretty underwhelmed. Anyone else feel the same way?

Is the game actually scary or creepy?

I didn't think it was scary at all. Maybe a touch creepy, but not much.

I thought it was a pretty neat game.

In what way was it boring?

It feels too long between clues (that don't seem to mean that much, IMO). The hour it took to play through felt like it took 2 or 3 hours somehow, which a game shouldn't.

The game was amazing. It was about atmosphere and story. You weren't supposed to play it as if it were a challenge, but play it as if it were an experience (which, really, you should do for any game).

That's my point; I didn't think it had atmosphere OR a challenge. A game should have at least one of those things.

It had incredible atmosphere, you just didn't have the patience or interest to look for it.

I was very interested! But as far as "creepy" or "horror" goes, even certain Cracked articles tend to have more of both.

Maybe it depends on your love interest then? I mean, it had a lot to do with searching for your wife, so maybe you need to have a wife/girlfriend/lover to relate to the story.

The game was creepy.
But not scary at all.

Ugh, I hate creepy games. They're so not creepy.
