Hey,
I am right now saving money (1000€) to spend it either on:

Oculus Rift CV1 (probably 2015) + new graphic card + Motion tracking system

or

A one-month long trip through Europe (Interrail)

What would you choose? And why?

A one month long trip to Europe to explore a bit of the world. It could possibly be your only chance, so I would say pick it. Life comes a long way over gaming.

That's like asking if you like virtual sex or real sex. Go for the real life experience dude. Be sure to bring a camera or a decent phone cam to document your trip.

Oculus Rift is just a device that it will be there always for you, to wait for you to buy it now or later it doesnt matter , one day you will purchase it if you want it so much.

About the trip is one in a lifetime adventure , but it always depends of your age , mood and your friends.
if you have good friends that will go with you and have fun then a trip is a must.... but you never know a trip is like an adventure is either you enjoy it or regret it. I have been in many places and pretty much I have enjoyed most of the trips.

If you have a girlfriend dont hesitate to go for a trip , is 100% recommended!

I know people that didnt do a trip at the age of 25 and regret it , I know other that did some trips after they got married and enjoyed it most. So I guess if you have a good company is all that it matters :)

A trip through Europe. Never put gaming over real life(yes, we are always making jokes about this and how real life is so P2W, but we somehow love the real reality. And we know this.).

Save it or do the trip to Europe ;3 Occulus can wait, and the price will be probably lower in a few years ... There might be even better than the Occulus later so if you wait a bit before you get a VR device it might all be better in the end !

For now I would save the money. Then I would use it later to buy a more advanced Oculus.

Oculus will be obsolete in a few years and the price will be down. Same goes for the graphic card you'll buy this year. A trip to Europe is something that you can do now and realize there is more beauty in real life than in the virtual one.

Interrail trip.

Prices for trips are kinda stable. I could even argue that you'll get slightly better prices right now "thanks" to the overall economic "situation".

On the other hand technology gets cheaper and cheaper, and better and better, so that your money will buy better stuff by buying later.

Real life > Virtual reality, but when VRMMOs like SAO(sword art online) are made,I will spend a lot of time on them :D (im 90% sure they will be created in the next 10-20 years)

Neither. Just a new graphics card, VR isn't worth it ATM, it's cool for the first week but then you'd get bored with it and won't use it at all.

And I'm not much of a fun of sightseeing. Buy yourself a stay at an all inclusive resort near a beach.

The only chance to spend 1000€ for a month is sleeping in box and eating cat's food. You'll spend everything on bus/plane. I vote for first option.

ps If you want get both try something like THIS
