Anyway if she liked Bioshock Infinite did she try previous two Bioshock games?
I'd suggest Fallout games but you said she's not into open world though. I think you should let her check those out anyway, they would be a shame to miss.
I don't know, nothing else really pops into mind. When it comes to shooters I like oldies like Doom 1 and 2, Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior. But those are just action-packed super fun shooters with very minimal amount of story. Maybe they're good enough to change her mind and open her to playing shooters that aren't focused on story too much?

Well, tbh, Borederlands is a massive blunder. It's WoW all over again.
Far Cry 3 on the other side, the huge plot holes and logic fails aside, is an okay game. Not for the story people tho. Why anyone wouldn't like Max Payne in that respect is beyond me.

Well I did say I'm old school, I prefer action packed shooters without too much story to get in my way of shooting everything that moves. I have yet to find a story-focused FPS whose story would really impress me anyway, story is something RPG's are for not FPS's imo.

u know i was looking for someone to say that and u won well done. honestly never play call of duty its a game that needs to die and has been running for too long. its a game that has been stretched out into a yearly game that many players have come to hate. the last decent call of duty game was MW1 and thats it the rest rubbish, trash a game that needs to die. Assassins creed has turned into the same thing a yearly stretched out game and many games are falling out.

There is more than 1 Tomb Raider, also the new rebooted one is not real. You should show her the older games, at least the Legend trio.

I thought Far Cry 3 was kinda crappy, personally, but I HAVE heard glowing praise for Spec Ops: The Line, as was listed up top...other than that, maybe some older games in the MoH series? Rise Of The Triad is fun, from memory, they're not actually shooters but The Stanley Parable has a very cool little story in it and Gone Home has a fantastic story, allegedly CoD Modern Warfare and Black Ops have good stories to them and Deus Ex is supposed to be really good too, then there's F.E.A.R. which I actually HAVE played and love it...maybe the DOOMs? Singularity has a great rep last I heard. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon looks awesome...the Crysis series? That about does it for me for now...

But if she liked Infinite, get her into the other two in the series. Although if she thought Metro was too, uh, gory, was it? Or are horror-FPS games just a no-go? I dunno.

Then I guess you can cut Bioshock from my recommendations. The first might be too much 'horror', though the second might be okay?
Beyond that, Crysis, Dishonored, and Deus Ex: HR are really all that come to mind for PC if she needs a decent story.
Also, I hated the first Mass Effect game, way too much dialogue - but ME2 was pretty alright in my book. Might be worth a shot.
Man, I wish I could recommend Gears of War.
Maybe Resident Evil 5, if you two have a way to play together. I know, I know, zombies; but it can hardly be called a horror game.

M'hmm, hope I helped a bit.
But that's what I liked about HR and Dishonored -- iirc you didn't really need to be stealthy in either of them, but you could. Although, HR is a bit more open world, so I dunno.
Finding a good shooter with a good story is hard enough, but sticking to linear-as-hell makes it even harder, lol.
And I was gonna avoid mentioning RE6 since it's a lot more QTE and running than it is a shooter.

Singularity was a FANTASTIC game. HIGHLY under-rated. Or even the Quake series. The original Unreal is still my all time favorite FPS. Edit- I forgot to add in Bulletstorm. GOD I loved that game. WAY too funny.
