Have you ever seen the comments for every giveaway on this website? I think your outrage is misplaced.

Thanks, bobofatt, for concisely stating what I have felt for a long time about this topic.

+1
Also, people don't appreciate that you can buy a few games for the price of 1$. It's a great deal in itself. Kids are spoiled nowadays :(

"You owning all or most of the games is not relevant information to anyone else."
I agree that this is right in most instances, but when the bundles contain games that have been in bundles before I feel it's a fair comment.
There has been a noticeable decline in the quality of the bundles in the last few months, it's no surprise that people are picking up on this and making it known they're not as happy with the bundles now. And if you really think there hasn't been a decline in quality, take any regular or weekly bundle from the last two months to any of the first five indie bundles, and compare them objectively. The current weekly is one of the worst I've seen, it's starting to get pointless, I will probably stop checking for new bundles soon.

Meh.

I've posted as much before quite a few times, generally in threads where the general "opinion" is "omg this sucks" for many of the reasons you posted above. Usually one or two people agree with me but most people always continue to make two word comments about how much they dislike a certain bundle

Comments on the internet are mostly useless, and telling people to write useful comments is nearly impossible ;)
But I do agree with what you wrote, won't happen though, because people love to be assholes, atleast until they get punished for it.

so... an opinion thread about opinions?
well, to be honest, and this is my opinion, i really don't care about the "usefulness" of a comment, if i need something useful to decide to buy or not a bundle, i search each game on the store, read some review or watch some gameplay video.

I really value opinions about the individual games and I don't mind opinions about the value of a bundle as a whole. Once someone purchases a couple dozen bundles, its get hard to find a bundle with all new games. And a person can never have enough Point & Click Adventure games.

For starters, this is my opinion as a member of the site, and not a moderator.
Every time a new bundle is posted, the comments are generally full of posts saying "this bundle sucks", "not for me", "all repeats", chains of "meh", etc.
These comments are, by and large, completely useless and spammy.
Just because you have all the games, or you don't like the particular genre, doesn't mean the bundle isn't a great deal for somebody else. Someone new to Steam, the bundle scene, or missed a previous bundle. Someone who likes Point and Clicks even though you hate them, etc.
What I'd like to see, personally, is more opinions on the individual games within the bundle. "Hey, game X is really great if you like that genre", "I don't like SHMUPS, but game Y still entertained me", "I really dig ARPGs, but game Z really falls short", "If you're only interested in this game, check out this bundle instead". Something that would be actually useful to potential buyers of the bundle. You owning all or most of the games is not relevant information to anyone else. You not liking the genre isn't really relevant. Even saying "You might want to check this out if you love FPS's" is more useful than "meh, not for me".
Just my thoughts. I'd like to see more helpfulness in general.
