Race 07 and it's associated games/dlc are a mess on Steam. I am not sure if they were on Steam before the DLC system was added or what the issue is. The base game(s) have not DLC according to the client, and all the DLC i ssplit up as separate game entries.

Yes, but if it would "be" a separate game, then why asking for a "base game" to enter the giveaway? It's the same issue, anyway. They were on steam before the new DLC system, but the matter here is the following: if SG understands it as a separate game, then why the giveaway asks for a "missing base game"? And, if SG understand Race On as a expansion/DLC of Race 07, then why it keeps saying "missing base game" to those who own the base game (like me)? That's the meaning of this post: whatever option, nobody can enter Race On giveaways (just go to see the number of entries of the linked giveaway), but the giveaways of other expansions of Race 07 work fine (GTR Evo, STCC 1 and 2, etc.). It's a mystery! lol

If this is from the bundle "Born 2 Race" of bundlestars, you could create a giveaway for "STCC - The Game" instead :)
That's interesting. Are you sure creating such a giveaway won't get the giveaway creator or the winner in trouble? Normally giveaways have to be a perfect match for the actual key.

Just in case it was a key from that bundle, then it would be right, because it was a key for race on and STCC (both in one key). Otherwise, not. That's what he suggested in that moment (when people were trying to gift it) and I think it's totally valid, because you're giving away STCC and race on as a "bonus". No troubles there. But if someone has a key only for race on, then it has to be a race on giveaway only, obviously, but nobody can enter yet.

Yes, it's from the Born 2 Race bundle. According to bundlestars.com, the key for Race On "Contains RACE 07, RACE On, STCC: The Game and RACE 07 - Formula Race Room Add-On"
So I guess I can simply create a giveaway for RACE 07 and mention in the description that it also includes these DLCs.

There were two Race On games on steam, the expansion pack and the Bundle:

I think that the games still exist in Steam API, but are not sold in steam store anymore.
SG allows you to create the giveaway (loads the API game from DB?), but nobody can enter, even if owning the base game, because of this bug in the website.

There's a problem with Race On giveaways in the site. Race On is an expansion/DLC pack of Race 07 but no one can join this giveaways because SG says "missing base game", although you own Race 07. Giveaways end always with 0 entries, because of this bug. Example: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/9ybi5/race-on
Were you alerted of this issue? Any solution in sight?

EDIT2: for those four members who answered "yes" in the poll, although Race On giveaways keep finishing without entries... Can you please explain to the community how you do it, so we can know it too? :)
