Steam locked my account...

Ouch, took me a month to get my restriction lifted. Mine was for a different reason, but was the same type of account restriction. I hope you'll get yours lifted sooner than that. Contact support, and send as much information as you can about what happened, and hopefully you'll get it lifted.

Fair enough, it's not like a ban, just a restricted to something you said you couldn't use anyway (to protect from illegal purchasing or refunds after purchase)... People use to cheat the system, buying a game, then having the funds bounced back, etc. Or if you have bank account issues, they might recall it on both parties. Either way steam is at risk, so want to protect themselves till resolved as it clearly says.

The real question is why you couldn't make the payments? Plus why tell us, it is something you need to work out with them.
