I remember seeing the game and thinking it would be pretty cool but I haven't really heard anything about it. So Would you guys say the game would be worth buying and playing?

Unfortunately it's not very good game.

More specifically:

I had to look QTE sequences online because I had no time to react to prompts.
Controls aren't very good (KB/M, might be better with gamepad)

I had to reduce difficulty from hardest to medium to be able to enjoy at all near end of game.

Would be better if they just had made it as movie :P

^This, completely.

Game is great. QTEs weren't difficult at all. Played entire game with KB&M without issues. Combat is tactical and button-mashing will not work.

With literally only couple of frames to press (~50ms probably) I have to disagree.
I'd see that prompt popups, but it would then instantly fail because I was "too slow".

I guess you could say it was...

Unmemorable

I haven't played it personally and when I heard about it, it looked great but I've heard the gameplay isn't great, rather repetitive.

Have it for the PS3, expected more of it. Honstly, I thought it's going to be mainly a stelath game with memory maniplations every second. Couldn't be any more wrong.

The whole memory thing happens 2 or 3 times in the game (As far as I know, got way too bored)

3 times iirc. I think one was 'same' manipulation done twice.

This game as is is wasted potential and would've worked better as a movie.
If you want to enjoy the story, don't definately go with high difficulty.

The game is pretty good. Really underrated. It's not great, but worth playing. It has unique fighting and skill system and nice boss fights. Around 8-12 hours length, depends on if you rush through the game without collecting things (~8h) or if you play on higher difficulty and like to collect things add few more hours.
Maybe it's not worth the current steam price, but at 4-5 euros it would be a good purchase.
I got this game for free on PS3 from PS+, decided to check how crappy this game is and was surprised in a good way :)

It's pretty cool. I would definitely recommend playing it despite the flaws it has. It'd be superb if there were more memory remix sequences, though.

Everything regarding non-playable elements is good. Ambient, story, the whole concept itself. You'll probably enjoy more taking a look at the concept art than playing the game itself.
Everything regarding playable elements is disappointing.

Is it worth it? well... it depends on how important is the gameplay for you. Not that bad, but it really lacks inventiveness. It looks like a game trying to make the same things many others did, but really worse.

If you don't mind waiting I think it would lower its prize even more for summer sale.

i actually think the game was very inventive... the remix concept wasgreat and the combat system was different from most other games, along with the enemy types and how you have to deal with them... if theres one thing this game doesnt lack, its inventiveness and ambition.

Yes, the remix parts were the best ones in the game, really inspired. I also loved the sound and how it is involved in gameplay. And yeah, I can see your point when you talk about ambition. As I said it's not that bad, but gameplay isn't good enough for me. I mean the essence of gameplay. They didn't focus in gameplay at all. It's like playing a light version of Arkham series with very common classic 3D platforming (and I'm not talking about the hud guiding you during the whole game). If you compare the game with all those titles that Remember Me was inspired by... nothing to do with them.

I enjoyed the game more when I was walking around the city than fighting/jumping/whatever, and that says a lot about it. But as I said, not a bad game at all.

I liked it, remixing was really fun but it's not a must-have by any stretch :)

Apparently there are only a handful (two?) of the good parts of the game (memory something or the other).

Well worth the current sale price by far.

i really enjoyed this game. and i did not have any issues with the mechanics or the prompts as another poster did. i like the story of it. imo worth it at full price.

I think it is, i bought it in the last holiday sale and i really enjoyed it. i found the combo system to be good and loved the way it makes combos and spcific strikes have a purpose and not just a button mash fest. Along with great graphics and a pretty good story for a vidya game i say at the current sale price it is well worth it.

story/plot was great. gameplay was kinda repetitive but timing is what it is all about. i finished it. if you are someone who enjoyed gameplay more than story, not for you then. i also finished Binary Domain. i like the lovey dovey story. ^^ i hoped there's Binary Domain 2. Remember Me and Binary Domain are underrated. these games deserve more.

It saddens me to say, No.

Once it's really cheap (5-10 bucks) then it's worth getting for what might have been. But for anything more than that it's an utter waste of money compared to the other AAA stuff you could be spending money on.

And don't be fooled by the official gameplay shown before the game's release because all of that mission but the memory remix sequence (1 of like 4 or 5) was cut from the final game and there's nothing remotely like it in the game.

yeah who wants ambitious ideas and great story, when you can get something like call of duty or the usual AAA rehashed samey bullshit, i guess.

I was thinking more along the lines of any recent Batman game or dozens of others (basically almost any AAA game since 2007 that's not multiplayer focused)...and I specifically said AAA to exclude all the "retro" indie trash, not CoD.

Also Remember Me has neither of those things...and I've completed the game so that's not just a random opinion. It had the potential, but that potential is only about 20% realized. I's so sad because I've wanted something with that fighter concept for so very long.

I got it for free with ps plus and I can say it's not really good, and when you play through memories, well, it's really boring.

The game asks you to remember it since its so generic you will want to forget you even tried to pick it up.

yes, i liked it. its very linear, but the mechanics are good & the story is great. it would have been an excellent game if you could explore the world. its the one big drawback from the game. i wanted to explore the world really bad, cause the world that they made for the game is quite intriguing & they could have done alot more with it. i just hope they they make a part 2 where you can actually explore it. but i doubt that the game will have a sequel

I enjoyed the game, had a great time with a good story, and while the combat could have been better I really enjoyed the flow to it.

Ah, thanks for making this thread; I was on the border about purchasing the game during this sale and was considering making a topic here myself.

In case you're interested, I was browsing review and gameplay videos on Youtube and found these (1, 2) somewhat useful in forming an idea about what the game is like.

The story was really good but the game play is average and gets repetitive quickly. After I finished it I though it would have been better if it was a movie.

No.

Its bland, boring, beyond mediocre and just plain not fun.

The only interesting thing in the entire game (re-writing memories) is used only a couple times and you have almost no control of it.
