I think the problem with youtubers these days (atleast for me) is they're trying to be funny too hard. I don't watch lets play to listen to their stupid jokes, I am there to watch them play the game. It's all nice and good if you can make good jokes, but cracking them every minute for the sake of subscribers is just a huge turn off for me. Same thing with him. I think he is trying too hard (that's how it felt for me) to be funny to make it feel natural.
Edit: Also I have to disagree with you. In my opinion it's pretty much same 'shit' every other youtuber does.

I enjoyed Cryaotic best from all the lets players out there on youtube. He does a lot of horror and exclusive console game playthroughs and I always felt he had a rather professional touch with them. Although it's been awhile since I have watched any of his lets plays so it might have changed. But last time I saw any of his videos he was a refreshing change to all the other youtubers who make their videos look like you're tripping on acid.

I love Cryaotic too, ( can't get into his streams because of time zones tho :x ) he's as you said very professional, he gives opinions and thoughts during his lets plays ( Markiplier does that too ), he analyses the game in a way that I like a lot, he's objective. Now DooM's channel is more of a wacky channel, the randomness in his channel is what I like because sometimes I need "less serious" stuff.

How do you mean different from other youtubers? I don't see a difference really. Not my thing, then again, I am not really a fan of yourube personalities. Mostly I either like their content or I don't.

He's different in my opinion because he does kinda "crazy" stuff in his channel, not just straight forward lets plays and that kind of classic stuff. He's just fucking around, that's what I like.
