So I saw the green bar and thought I'd finally won one of those Just Cause 1's which I've been burning most of my points on since missing the deal.

But no, I looked and it's for "Zombie Driver HD Soundtrack"! which I didn't even enter for.... I don't enter for soundtracks, because they don't interest me. Apparently I entered 9 minutes after the giveaways I remember entering.

What I think must have happened is:
I switched attention to my other machine and while not looking the mouse I have sat on the sofa next to me slipped under the cushion I am sat on and clicked twice at the same location, entering from "Quick View", then moving, clicking and dismissing the overlay.

Only theory I can think of, wouldn't have ever known if I didn't win it! Think I will acquire another from Tremor and make a giveaway later of it later.

This ever happened to anyone else?

You could just ask for a reroll if you don't want it...

FFS, I replied to someone making the same comment and they fecking deleted it.

Yeah, would have thought about doing that, but they already sent the key. It's no real hardship to acquire another copy (or 2) and give those away in case somebody is really wanting it.

I thought they might have already sent you a key, but I figured you'd mention it :)

Oh well, enjoy your inadvertent win and best of luck to your other giveaways.

If it's any consolation, I recently found myself having entered a giveaway I wasn't interested in, but I was warned right before it ended by the creator, who read my comment just in time. I guess I had an itchy click-finger.

Meant to say actually, but forgot. Hard to make contact anyway with keys since only creator gets email address.

One thing it has made think about is remembering to check any winners I get haven't won the same game before having chance to remove entries when I send out keys.

Hmm, no. But occasionally I forget to remove parked points before the giveaway ends. Never won any of them, though.

I've accidentally entered giveaways before. Since what I do is open the giveaway list and middle click on the ones I want to enter to open them all in their own tabs. Then I run through all the tabs clicking on the enter buttons without even looking at what they are (since I already knew what they were when I opened their tabs) So if I accidentally opened a tab for a giveaway for something I didn't want I would enter it without even knowing.

I enter giveaways in the exact same way as you.

But what about semi-funny snarky descriptions? :O
See, that's why I don't make public giveaways. Too many people won't bother reading the description... <.<

As for the OP's question- nope, never.

No, I haven't accidentally entered & won, but I have missed out on some really epic giveaways that I thought I'd entered. Much like Joey, I usually open a row of tabs for the giveaways that catch my eye. Then I systematically run through them all, entering and posting my gratitude (in that order) on my favorites after scanning their details.

But I sometimes get caught up in commenting first and close the tab, forgetting that I never clicked on the entry button. Obviously this most often occurs when replying to a particularly amusing or thought-provoking description. Happy now, Zlia? ;-(

That is what I normally do, but take a quick look at description if there. Normally open all I want, then enter in 3's, going back to close ones which have finished entering.

Could be what happened here, although it was the only thing entered at that time. If I'd have thought first I could have checked in browser history if I'd open the page previously.
