During the Summer sales, I bought "Saints Row the third: Franchise Pack" and placed it in my inventory. Not much later, I found a thread here at SG about people who wanted to remove SR3 DLC from their Steam accounts because they didn't like it. I wasn't sure about it, so I bought the 'normal' SR3 as well and placed it in my inventory.

Now, I want to add one of them to my library. So guys, I'd like to see your opinions about which is the best: SR3 with, or without DLC?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on if you like the basically cheats they added as DLC. (You get certain stat bonuses for no reason other than you bought the DLC, basically.)

If you don't want that to permanently affect your game, go without the DLC.

The SG thread I mentioned was about that DLC (and one other, I think). I'm not into the game as I didn't play it yet, but thanks for the link, I'll probably need it. :)

The game is easy as it is, this just makes it a bit easier from the start allowing you to steal health rather then waiting a few seconds to get out of combat and regenerate it. Later in the game you pretty much become godlike with unlocks. So for me it wasnt a big deal when I tried it with and without dlc.

With DLC. 3 of them have missions/activities and other are just cosmetics.

IMO DLC is worth it since you will get extra missions and more of the game, whereas without it you get less. And you can always not use/disable the dlc you don't like but you will need to spend extra money to get the dlc you want when you have the plain version. Of course if you got the season pass dlc too then that is a good choice that way you can pick and choose the dlc you want.

I don't have the season pass. But if I can disable unwanted DLC (with or without mods), it should be 'safe' to choose the Franchise Pack...

I regret not waiting a measily few weeks to buy the franchise pack isntead of when I bought it 75% on its own, so take it from me its better to have it and be able to get rid of it then not have it at all and having to pay more for the dlc then you did for the franchise pack.
