I know this is a place for steam games only, but I noticed you made some exceptions to more popular titles.
I think it would a great new addition to the site to add some Blizzard titles like Starcraft 2, the World of Warcraft expansions and game card, the upcoming Diablo III and etc.
I don't see a problem because they can be bought digitally and activated digitally.

But there are exceptions to popular titles, as stated above.

The issue is that there isn't a way to gift them. They are tied to your B.net account, and cannot be shared in a good/secure way.

Can I designate an item as a gift?
In regards to Blizzard's game titles, you can only designate Digital Downloads as gifts. Doing so will send a transferable authentication key to your email address for you to give to someone at your discretion. For other products that you wish to gift to someone, simply add their address to your Address Book and send the order there.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of such a functionality, but have heard plenty of people on vent etc. exchanging account info, or authenticator keys and exchanging game time, SC2 copies etc. for stuff in other games, or in WoW.

I haven't seen exceptions. The indie bundles might be a bit of an exception the way they're done, but they must have Steam keys to participate here.

I'd love to see a place that lets me gift games from other stores, but I don't know of one. (You can of course find other ways to gift, such as posting on the forum, but there's no official way to do this.)

(And I copied the text this time before the logout. Yay.)

I stand corrected. Why do these exceptions exist then?

Try writing in support forum - if enough of similar suggestion are created there then the chances are good that it will be implemented. Sooner or later - I heard cg is a busy man.

Ah, it's just to the right of the forum link in the site header.
But I think it's not needed as lokonopa already answered you.

Isn't Blizzard like, suing Steam because of Dota 2 right now?
However, I do wish that one day I will see games like Chrono Trigger and FF on Steam, rather than Blizzard games :)

Edit: Ah yes, I meant Valve.

Not exactly, Blizzard is in the right here.
Also they're suing Valve that owns Steam, not the store itself.

IMHO, add SC or Diablo is ok.
WoW - not ok, cause you don't need to buy game, you should buy timecards.
I like blizzard games, but not sure that a lot of people will give it away.

People are just going to use high ticket games to spam for more points. Its difficult to verify non-steam games as being legit, and with this it will be even harder, and there will be people trying to sell/trade/giveaway accounts.

It's not clear for me the reason of creating fake giveaways (except of foolish newcomer). You right, there is some problems to detect fake giveaways.

This has been suggested before, but BF3 and Minecraft were two exceptions that we tried out months ago. We have not added any further non-Steam games into the system. If we do add further titles, they will be independent and not strictly belonging to a non-Steam platform. This seems far more in the nature of SteamGifts than allowing Origin or GOG games.

Hm... Minecraft is independent. But BF3 and strictly belonging Origin. And GOG are also DRM-free, as i know. Or you mean GMG?

Veidali is right, BF3 strictly belongs to steam, I don't see why you couldn't add a couple of other exceptions for just as popular games.
