I been wondering if it matters to you on how much a game costs. Do you look down on a cheap game ? Or think that the more expensive a game is the better quality it offers? What type of influence does it have on your decisions?

Does Price matter?

View Results
Yes it does, Adds value to the game.
No I would buy the game anyway.
I LOVE STEAM SALES
Potato. o-o

Usually, the lower, the worst. But times are changing and you can take COD and No Mans Sky as an exemple.

eh, there were always overpriced piles of crap. It used to be that lower price just meant older / not selling well, because stores had to worry about inventory. Nowadays, there are games being introduced at a bunch of different price points, with the more expensive games getting a price drop or a sale when it gets older or not selling as well. there's also crap "selling" for next to nothing, but I don't know if DH-type crap meets the definition of "game"

For me the price of a game only means if I CAN buy it not if I will due to low disposable income. In terms of the games themselves nope if I like the look of a game I'll want to play it

You can't make a decision like that on price alone. I'd be more likely to buy a $1 game that looks fun than a $10 game that looks like trash.

Well, for one example, Fortix is only $1, and it was a lot more fun than several more expensive games I took a chance on... :)

Hmm, the main way the price matters to me is cheap stuff I'll buy now, and expensive stuff I'll wait, and buy when it's no longer expensive... :)

Triple A games are usually, indeed expensive to make. Though that doesnt necessarly make them better.
I grew up with a Dreamcast, which is essencially an arcade machine. That made me realize a simple well executed concept turns out better than overlly complex game with no real focus on its gameplay.

Almost all games go to 75% off at some time during the year. salenauts.com is a great resource to see if it has saled before.

Triple A games are garbage. The best games are around the €10 - €20 mark.

I usually buy when something on my list is around the 80-90% off mark, if it's about 2-3 dollars and it's been the list for a while now I usually buy it, I rarely buy more expensive games unless I really wanna try them, like Cities: Skylines and Rocket League both of which I bought at at 50% iirc.

No! Absolutely not, I will not dismiss game because it has cheap price tag. 1 USD shovelware though, I dismiss them and they'll go straight to collecting digital dust in my library.

Some cheap games are good. A few examples could be: Out There Somewhere and A Bird Story - I enjoyed both and beaten both.

I've noticed that a lot of the games on Steam that are priced between $1-4 USD are trash and I tend to eye them with suspicion. Not all of them of course, but many of them. The two you mentioned being among the pool of notable exceptions.

Some of the best games I've ever been addicted to played were indie games under $10.
Conversely, I've played some $60 games that just sucked the rear end of a donkey.

For me AAA games very very expensive. 60euros for a game then minimum wage here down here is 350. I've only bought full priced AAA title once in my life. Other than that looking for discounts, sales and such.
