Yesterday used a NVIDIA key to buy AC3 with 100% of discount in UbiSoft Store. All correct; email received, appear in my history, etc.. but after few hours of waiting, game not appear in my account (web), and not appear in Uplay PC.

I have ordered an incidence in Ubisoft Support few hours ago, but still watting... :(

I have looking for information online but I do not find anything. Someone has had this problem??

you need to be in the year 1753, to get this game

The game doesn't automatically appear in your UPlay library -- you should have received a Digital River order information email, that contains the activation key and the downloadable game (a hefty 15.3GB too) in a link. You need to download and install the game, then it pops up in UPlay and asks for the activation key. Ubicrap doesn't have a "redeem product code" option in UPlay yet.

GJ Ubi! Way to compete with Steam and Origin! golf clap

edit: It lacks a few slashes.

This is not totally correct. My bought include Assassins cree 2 free. In email, there are a key and a donwload link for assassins creed 2: Assassins_Creed_2_Setup_DownloadManager_es.exe
But not appear for assassins creed 3:
"Thx for buy Assassins creed 3, to access to your new game, u should start Uplay PC, u can see the game in Section "games"",

No key. No link for donwload AC3.

That's strange, you should have had both the download link and activation key. I did :)

"Dear...

Thank you for your order at Ubisoft. The product you have pre-ordered is now available.

Order ID: 189xxxxxx
Product ID: 247xxxxxx
Product Name: Assassin's Creed ® III - Special Edition
Discharge Date: 21 November 2012

Assassins_Creed_III_DownloadManager_en.exe
AC3_Special_Activation_Guide.pdf
"

Ah well, in that case;

http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11991/p/247/c/1663/session/L3RpbWUvMTM1NjYzMDg0NS9zaWQvd0luZ2NQZWw%3D

It will likely geofilter you to your own regional store when you click the "looking up your order" link on that article above, just look for the "HELP" link on the store. Then type in your order number for AC3 (in the email you received)and your Uplay account password. Digital River will then display the activation key and download link -- but be quick as the download link (including the AC3 PDF that contains bonus content keys) can only be downloaded up to 30 days from purchase. Another "Fuck you very much, Ubishit" from me. At least you can download the game direct from UPlay once the key is registered and activated.

Good luck!

This is my problem. For AC2 all good, but for AC3, in "looking up your order", appear:
"Processing serial number or unlock code."
So, only can wait :S

Thx you for reply anyways.

Actually kind of smart for them, in a way. People want to activate their code, so they're forced to install the game making them more likely to play it. How many games are in your Steam backlog that you've never even installed?

It's not smart because because of it I would never buy a game from their store. Downloading a game from some link sent by an e-mail? Really? What year are we living in? 1999? Ubi can't compete with neither Steam not Origin at this point.

Sucks for you that you'll miss out on some cool games.

How come? I'll buy them but only through Steam or retail versions. I'll just not buy them through UbiShop.

I have a question regarding that email. Can you give that key away? or is it already bound to your account?
I went through the process up until receiving the email, and download link. I thought I'd be able to redeem that key in Steam. However, I don't want to deal with UPLAY at all. Can I give it to a friend without hassle? or is it somehow already tied to my account?
Thanks for the help

You must've received an email from Ubi, download the client from the link in the mail, install the game and THEN enter your username and password of uplay. This is the opposite of what Steam and Origin do but whatever, it's Ubi.

well if they gave you your serial number you can actually activate the game but you need to add some command line in your Uplay shortcut.

HAHA!

You have to deal with their support! I made a ticket at 18.12. and today I got SEVEN E-Mails in 15 minutes from them. All with the exactly same generic bot reply! :C

Thats normal. Uplay sucks, you need to wait and will get a downloadlink and key per mail. Can take a while, because its ubisoft.

It's simple... after your online order via the ubi store, wait a little to retrieve a confirm email, this will contain a link to a download manager for the game and a serial to activate once the game has downloaded.

UdontPlay is better than UPlay, avoid Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 they require UPlay even on steam
