So when I was born, my left hand is very different from my right.. they look exactly the same, they just function very different.
I have full control on my right hand while i cant even point on my left. because it curls up instead of having it straight. All of my left fingers does this.
To combat this,, I transfer my left hand task to my right.
for example. I bought a mouse with 12 side buttons and changed shift, ctrl, tab, etc to my mouse side buttons.

That way my left has only WASD to control. It kinda works, but when i play shooter games, i tend to run on walls or I press the wrong buttons (happens too much) and i end up a sitting duck.

anyway im trying find a solution to this.. I tried to look for like a joy stick of some sort so my fingers have 0 jobs and im only using my arm.

any suggestion?

controller is not an option for me. because it gives massive disadvantage on shooter games.

Use some kind of pedals? I read about someone years ago, who did not use a mouse but some kind of input with his feet. Maybe it is possible for WASD.

Honestly I do not remember.

But I would guess that there are people from the DIY/Make scene that would be willing to help in contruction. I was thinking about something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfadq8JCBqg

i'm still googling, but sounds strange to me that such clever idea is still only at DIY level. something like this?

put a controller on the floor and try to use the thumb sticks with your feet or just use the thumb stick with your bad arm/hand. the only issue is some games you'll need one foot for walking and one for looking so you'll need a big controller but just to walk it may help. if this works a fighting stick (for fighting games) may be good for you as it has a huge joy stick that's easy to grab.

most games let you configure buttons and let you have mouse and controller working at the same time.

Sometimes there is this "review" on certain games from a guy from Belarus, playing games without any hand and think just his chin.

Can't find a link that quickly.

Didn't even know there offered that. Pretty cool! I used to raid with a girl in WoW who only had one arm. Shame we lost touch, she'd have prolly loved something like that

There is a speedrunner with the nick halfcoordinated who is just like that, can only use one hand, yet he has some world records in action games (including some high-tier competitive times for Platinum Games titles). You may want to look up what he uses.

you say your hand... only the hand or the whole arm? maybe use a trackball/touchpad with left wrist/elbow for WASD?

You can also use the Xbox Adaptive Controller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEKIAHrugZ4
You can customize it however you feel like and it's compatible with every PC game.

+1 I don't know much about this stuff, but when they announced Xbox Adaptive Controller few months ago I heard a lot of people say it's really a game changer on this field thanks to its high level of customizability.

Can you use something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Saitek-Cyborg-Joystick/dp/B000F2HGU0/

Assuming your fine control and buttons is all on the fancy mouse, you can just set this for movement control in FPS and things like that.
Some games might be more difficult, need a utility to help with bindings.

Could be a trackball for the left hand (to do the WASD) and pedals (missing buttons) a solution ?

Left hand for mouse and right on keyboard?

That may be a stupid question, but have you tried using arrow keys instead of wasd? Being isolated, might be easier for you to use. Otherwise I suppose you could learn using a joystick with your foot, which sound hard to do but faeseble ; or just get some pedals.

Also what about your thumb? You could use a steam controller to move with your left hand.

since you dont want to use your finger a controller's thumbstick with your mouse would work better. if you secure the controller you can use the thumbstick with a fist or any part of the hand. again a arcade stick may be what you want to replace WASD (pic at bottom). they have a huge joystick and a bulky bottom and may work best for your issue as you can just put the palm of your hand on it and not even need your fingers. they are mainly used for fighting games.

My suggestion would be to use both a keyboard and a controller - some games can detect multiple device input without a problem, so you could assign the directional keys (WASD) to a controller's thumbstick, then place it on your desk and use that with your thumb/palm.

I really can't help and saw that some people were already able to help you out, at least a little bit. But speaking in general, this is a topic that needs to get way more awareness in the gaming world. People with disabilities are gamers, too. Sometimes they have to stop gaming because of their disability*ies. The world should develop more solutions to help them being able to pick up their hobby again. After all, the world should be all about inclusion, shouldn't it? Well, a man can dream, because we don't even have an accessible world, so an inclusive world will not be realized before the first step is taken.

maybe if you contact people here https://www.specialeffect.org.uk/ they can find way to help you,or you can find an hacker/modder that maps pc keyboards buttons to an arcade controller or stick so instead of use fingers you use other parts of hand or arms for move or push.
p.s. im not an hacker , is just my idea how u can fix maybe.
