question regarding the timed giveaway

i noticed you can have a give away for just hours, days, or weeks or even months.
So what is that for? is it like the longer the duration the more EXP for or duration doesn't really matter as long as you giveaway that certain game

Giveaway duration doesn't affect anything other than the amount of time the giveaway is offered. It allows for more people to enter, that's about all.
