It wasnt, trust me :) ...it was just not locked...so everyone could play but it has short before release a new ID...so it wasnt RoW anymore(they change that mostly short or right after release at most bigger games, like rayman)...everyone who bought with the new ID got the locked version(and later a second library entry with the EU version from BL2)...

No i dont....RoW games keep RoW games when you bought them. Rayman Legends was RoW(in russia) all the time as pre order...on release day, or one day before, it changed the ID and now it is a RU Version and not more RoW(for NEW buyers, who bought it with the RoW ID keeps the RoW game)...the same was at BL2...just that the time was very short and some weeks or so before the release they changed the ID...so it was a RU Version without any locks...then they changed it again and you had only the russian language and you could just play with russians...then some weeks/months after release they added the europe version from BL2 to all RU BL2 owners...
Maybe i get you wrong, but i know im right because i bought the RU Version short after they changed the ID from RoW to RU....

MW2 and MW3 are two different games. Black ops and Black ops 2 are two different games. All of them have different things, it's not always the same game. Proof: play Black Ops campaign, then play Black Ops 2 campaign. Is it the same? No. Then it's not the same game.

I don't mean the story, but that's something you sometimes, but I mostly play mutliplayer. The gameplay is the same, graphics a little bit better everytime but not THAT much. There are some extra droids and stuff, but MW2 and MW3 are the same games, I've completed the campaign a few times (like 5 times the MW2 campaign and 2 times the MW3 campaign), and I can say they are the same games. Now black ops 2 campaign wasn't bad but I just got bored of it. I've completed it though. But that's the same with diablo 2 and 3, they are different game, but just dissapointed, expected more.

It's actually funny how gameplay/content-wise CoD Ghosts made bigger step forward from older games then BF4 compared to BF2 (it just brings stuff from earlier games back to BF3...).

One should never forget about the fishes. I for one am buy 10 copies just to study up on those devious ghost-fish beheaviours....ultimate military tactics. I feel this will prove useful in the future. I will then make a new account and giveaway all 10 copies like the ghost-fish I will become!

How is a poorly textured dog a step forward? How is finally having an engine that's capable of showing multiple skins at once (yes, that was actually their excuse why we haven't had women in CoD multiplayer before, finally admitting their engine has been shit since MW2) a step forward when you look at what other engines can do? How is having the ability to make things go boom a little better a step forward? Those are baby steps. From a caterpiller.

How did you manage to figure that out? o.O COD is only JUST changing a couple of things, which is mostly scripted movements in the map (and small ones at that), and better sound effects. The majority is still the same. Battlefield has progressed to one of the best graphical engines out there, destructible buildings, Award winning sound (before next gen), Bigger team game play (and the actual need for team game play), massive maps (bigger then they used to be), I could go on but I wont. I currently play both and enjoy them both for what they are. When I want fast paced FPS gameplay I play CoD, when I want to play tactically and have nothing but time, I play BF3. When BF4 and Cod:Ghosts comes out I will buy both.

Hard to say. The X-Com RU preorder got changed from unrestricted to restricted but only for people that hadn't redeemed it yet. Other games tell a different story so really, it's just a question of whether you want to roll the dice because you're never gonna get an official statement from steam on the subject.

if a copy is unrestricted and you add it to your account, im 100% positive that it'll stay unrestricted OR valve WILL reverse the trade, since valve implemented a trading function FOR TRADING, its allowed, and if you can physically add a game to your library because steam allows it, and you obtained the copy through a legitimate trade done THROUGH -VALVES- trading SYSTEM, then valve WILL be responsible for either reversing the trade or fixing the problem, i am 100% sure of it.

Fell free to be less than 100% positive about this, because my unrestricted Steam key of Hitman: Sniper Challenge became region restricted after 3 days and it would not let me play it with my IP.
Luckyly I managed to grab another key that was compatible with my region a short while later, but I had to go through Steam support to have the restricted version removed first.
But if you're only referring to activating tradeable gift copies: I didn't run into that situation with gifts (only with keys), so I can't say anything about it.

I'd say that if activation currently works then, after you activate it, you're in the clear. When the Borderlands 2 Season Pass was first released, there was a pricing error and it was showing up as around $16 USD, so I picked it up. Months after I activated it, I noticed that it showed up in my account as "Borderlands 2 Season Pass RU CIS" (I'm in Australia, so my BL2 is RoW/WW) and I haven't encountered any issues with it. On the other hand, people that bought the pass at the erroneous price and held it in their inventory couldn't activate it later on (presumably because Steam fixed it up and added the RU/CIS restriction).

I got my copy for $42 a few months back from a Russian trader but I think that he got it from another trader from another region...:/
Was able to activate it and everything...and it's still there in my library although when I go to the Steam Store, it doesn't say I own the game and that it's still on my wishlist. :/

The thing is though, that the RU version is region locked with a RU tag. If you look at my screenies, I don't have a RU tag on the activated game which would make it ROW.

Those 20 keys/$40 ghosts row copies are really suspicious to me, as far I know the cheapest row region is brazil at $46 ~ , also I tried to find out the source but none of the traders who sell it seems to know anything about it Β¬_Β¬ always says they got it from another guy :/ , I hope your copy is OK ^^

The trader I trade with is quite trustworthy I guess...I've spent about $500+ buying games from the trader and haven't had anything removed yet. He tells me his prices were low because he was able to get Steam Wallet codes extremely cheap. Apparently he has this source somewhere in Texas or Arizona who's able to sell him Steam Wallet codes for extremely cheap. :/
Anyways...g2g....getting a $20 steam wallet code to get Prison Architect Name in game edition. lolz
