So yesterday I was added by two people telling me to trade them my CG:GO cases that cost more than 5 Euros all together for some 0.04 weapon skins. Now, this is not exactly a scum, but if you do it to new people that don't know about the market, they can get lots of these cases with some really cheap skins. Is this considered a scum? Or at least an immoral way to acquire money?

It's called sharking. Been there for a while, in TF2 mostly.

It's neither new, nor does it sound more professional (at least in my opinion). The term sharking has been around for a long time.

Also, it's different than lowballing. When you lowball, you're still usually within a more or less acceptable range of trade offer, but you're definitely on the low end of it. Also, usually both parties know roughly what something is worth.

Sharking on the other hand is when a person is knowingly taking advantage of another person's lack of knowledge about values in order to get something for a ridiculously low exchange.
