Looking for some good earbuds, I'd like to hear your suggestions. Price range - $50-$80, maybe slightly more.

I would say Bose, but that's usually slightly above the $80 limit.

I'm willing to pay a bit more, if the quality is right.

Personally I wouldn't recommend Bose. They're high quality, but you always pay extra for the brand. You can get the same quality for less money with other brands.

Not sure if they're the best. There are a bunch of other brands that also offer great stuff with a good range of products, like Audio-Technica, AKG or Grado.

But yeah you often can't go wrong with a Sennheiser. Unless the cable breaks, which is unfortunately pretty common for Sennheiser products. At least you can usually get it fixed for free.

Why not get fucking amazing earphones with a larger amount of money, and use it for years to come. I recommend the Shure 535s. They're built like tanks, and sound great. I've had them for 3 years now, and they still work great.

if you are not an audiophile i would say stick with 50$ range, unless you get to test some quality ear buds and like a pair or can tell the difference
from what i know (reading online) each one has a unique Frequency response (flavor) that change the sound slightly.
ex. a flat range would be fit for monitoring music and studio work, pop culture like high low FQ (bass-y) sound so they hear the BOOM

also they there are IEM (in-ear) and buds, buds are the model that wont go into the ear canal. IEM go in and make an air seal so you get better sound
i got a Brainwavz M4
you can look at HiFiMan - RE-ZERO (or RE-0) not the same :D
SoundMAGIC E10
MEElectronics (cant remember what model)

these were some of the ones i was considering, mostly budget but with quality

My Skullcandies work perfectly fine after 2 years of service (the first ones to survive that long :D) so I'll recommend those (Ink'd). they're only about 20$ though.

I use Klipsch Image S4s. They're really comfortable and sound great, plus they come with a carrying case so that you don't damage them by carrying them loose in your pocket.

They're currently going for $70 on Amazon, but when I got them they were only $55, so you might be able to find a better deal than the current price.
