No, you got scammed by an impersonator who's been on a mean streak lately copying high profile user accounts because Valve is too damn slow to act against people like this. Remove your negative rep from that profile, they had nothing to do with the person who scammed you.

compare their Steam profile to the one linked to the rep they're pointing you to, impersonators are a real problem here.

Yeah in your pic he's level 5...actual guy is level 17...that's too easy...they should make it harder to switch names and pics...like maybe put it on a delay or something.

Edit: Also if you have show full html address or are using steam in a browser check the numerical profile id string at the end on their profile so you can tell the difference potentially in the future.

That sucks, man. From what I have found out, the guy is from Spain and has tried to scam many people for the last couple of weeks by impersonating members with high rep. Now you know better what to do next time.

I'm sorry for your loss.Here u're a tip that'd save much troubles.When someone adds you from steam trades make sure that he replied to your topic 1st showing his interest then view both his steam profile through steamtrades/SG then compare it to the steam profile chatting with you on steam client.It's hard to impersonate someone 100% for many factors one of them is his game library,recently played games in addition to total hours.Judging by the screenshots u've included in one of your replies There're obvious differences such as "Level,badge,description & recent activity".........You can either spend hours blaming yourself and trying to figure out how to get back your stuff from the impersonator which is impossible or try to learn from this experience & report his profile......Your choice.
