ESO was created by Bethesda's parent company, it was just simply published through the Bethesda publishing arm. I know that its cringe-worthy dialogues and repetitive fetch quests indicate a true Bethesda Game Studios product, but this time they were just emulated.
Since they usually take around 4-5 years to make a game (since they refuse to hire people on purpose), and Fallout 4 was last yearabout three years ago, TES6 is likely to release around 2020-ish. :)

What other game did they show that had no gameplay? Fallout 76 had gameplay, there just wasn't any fighting and the menus were hidden.

You must be new to this, if it is not played on stage by multiple persons, maybe on multiple systems then it may have a chance that is not in game or in game but scripted so would make it irrelevant at best :D.

"You must be new to this" Please don't be a jerk like that.

"If it's not played on stage by multiple people, it's scripted" That's not how Fallout has ever worked. Every single trailer for fallout has been from gameplay/ingame scripts. The screen wouldn't have been centered on the model walking if it wasn't gameplay.

I am not talking about a specific game, but games in general.
And if you like to see cinematic game play videos, by my guest.
By that way : "You must be new to this", this is not an insult, if you take it as that then I don't care :D.

Also scripted gameplay is also bad , I said it!

Meh, I prefer the fact that Howar Toadler :)), memes himself for the fact that they will make Skyrim for all low end gaming machines.
They dodged that with not naming the mobile TES as Skyrim mobile edition. still crap to make a TES mobile.

So let me see this, first you make Skyrim core to the PS3, then rerelease it for the PS4 in the form of SE, then you make it online crap for no one, then you make it for switch but have the same bugs, then you make it VR mkay, now you make it for mobile hmm.

So I say keep your style but I won't care.Maybe give obsidian a shot on Remastering TES III :D.

If I were to place a bet based off the landscape in the trailer... Hammerfell.

Yokudan nuclear swords are the new shouts. I can dig it.

Still would have preferred Blackmarsh.

Technically they did all the provinces in the very first game and the new MMO. So what's your point. Daggerfall was released ages ago and doesn't have nearly the presence as the post-Morrowind games have.

The MMO is a different team. Also they have done a new province each time so it shouldn't be any different.

It will be like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, but with only paid "mods"

Fallout 76 being online will force Creation Club at Nexus' expense.

Comment has been collapsed.

I own Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition, I can do normal mods from Nexus just fine. If they lock that out on a single player game, they will have some major backlash on their hands.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They tried paid mods with Valve. The consumer revolt was real.

They snuck it into Fallout 4 and then Skyrim Rereleased. There was some criticism but not a shitstorm.

76 will come out and the apologists will cover Bethsoft's ass on their behalf. It will be accepted.

Them offering paid mods, I know, will never buy them. I was pointing out that even with paid mods, I can still use the free ones from Nexus. Should they ever remove that option, they will have hell to pay.

But can see them trying to do the boiled frog experiment on this one where they do it by degrees. Hope it bites them in the ass. The developers are getting way to greedy with this crap.

Hate all the DLC crap, especially where the DLC is released the same day as the game or they are making them side by side, let alone the mod stuff. Actually makes me wait to bother with any game till the Game of the Year edition or equivalent comes out most times unless I get it for free from Tremor or on a giveaway.

That was what we said about the existence of Creation Club, yet it is still around and expanding. Thing is, the Steam community managed to push back the paid mods model once, and apparently mostly because they thought it was Valve's idea. After that, they managed to get enough zealous online trolls to be able to defend it and it is not really looking like something that will go away. Plus all they need is a digital signature system for the game architecture and suddenly Nexus-like mods will stop working in an upcoming game altogether, corralling everyone into the Creation Club if they want to find a simple fan path that fixes the 500-4000 bugs (rough estimate based on history) left in the final game version.

True enough, I know that if they lock out player made mods and force the paid mods, they will lock out my money and I will just not use it.

And it is still better than what Sony is experimenting on console and Nvidia will push on PC: pay-per-minute rental for games instead of owning a license and being able to download its files. The ultimate non-beatable DRM and endless money siphon business model that only needs one weakness ironed out: global internet access infrastructure, which is already getting better every single day even in developing countries.

Data-caps dude. Here in Canada we have them, USA has them, they're everywhere and I would LOVE for this to be the new buisness model but without data caps.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Doesn't change anything. No one is going to go all digital on a rental agreement. They could 100% pull a steam though.

As I said I'm willing to go with the whole thing if data caps become non existant. Because there are other forms of entertainment besides video games/console games. God knows I download over 8TB of TV shows.

Coming from a country that has one of the best internet infrastructures WW and I don't want this.
For Example I reached 95MB/s download speed on steam, I can use Steam linked throw 5ghz and wired with such low latency.

I have 1Gbit internet connection, simulated I can reach 930MB/s per say , I reached 95MB so 95x8 =760Mb/s on steam, I can use my AC1300Mb/s adapter to reach a 480Mb/s simulated speed wireless and so one.
And that only consts me like 8$ a month :D.

Even 5G that will have 1ms latency maybe they said it has already started to be implemented in our country, but sill if you can make that low latency throw wireless then you can make it way better throw optical fiber or other superconductors or maybe quantum technology so sorry corporate Rats like EA,M$,Bugtesda if you have studies Computer Architecture like many of us did, you know that the smaller the physical distance is the better the input lag is so it will never be better to stream things than to have it closer to you PERIOD.

I mean, we already knew they were working on TES VI.

This seemed to me to be just a placeholder teaser to appease the horde that would be MAD AS HELL if all they had for the TES franchise's future was a expansion for TESO and a mobile game.

Yes. Fuck whatever anyone says - I enjoyed Skyrim immensely and look forward to this game. I don't want to hype it since I might very well get extremely disappointed, but I can't help but get excited at the thought of TES VI.

Modded Skyrim was one of the great gaming experiences of my life (30+ years of gaming) so I'm excited about the next installment.

I don't really care about the hype -- I'll probably buy 50+ games before TES VI comes out, so I won't even think about it much -- but I'm definitely happy that it's officially on the horizon.

Gawd I hope the gameplay has moved on. And the writing come to that. The Skyrim remake seemed designed to remind us just how... bad that game was at the core. If it wasn't part of a great series probably wouldn't bother but of course my wallet will be thrown at the screen upon release.
