You can reroll after one week if you can show to Support that you made an effort to contact the winner.

It has been edited since my response. The previous text was a mess that looked like a machine translation.

With the mess of a topic, and the fact that their giveaway was only finished for a day at the time, I assumed they wanted to reroll but didn't know when they could.

wow, that is Long. i once waited 3 days or so until a steamgifts-guy rerolled it & thought this was long.
they are only a few People and when there are many requests at once, i can understand that not all can be solved in one or two days. totally normal.

I know its normal. As far as i know, there are two or three people behind steamgifts.
Maybe, all i can do is bumping the thread every week or two weeks :)

It takes a week before you can report you havent received a giveaway, so it would be logical it goes the other way too

Guys, I think he means that he's already requested it, so I suppose there's a reason to request a new winner.
If I remember, when I asked for it they did it in less than a day, it depends on how busy they are.

Requested mine 2 weeks ago, bumped it 4 days ago and still waiting. I guess it depends on your luck :P

Minutes, but maybe it depends on the reason and other factors (group versus public, etc)

Sorry, make you all confuse. I mean I have requested the new winner. How much time spend for that?

you can't request a new winner unless he/she hasn't responded within a week

The original winner of the giveaway. Why are you rerolling it so soon after it ended?

You're giveaway only ended a day ago mate you have to give them a week to respond before you request a reroll

What is the reason that you're requesting a new winner?

Nosgoth is a free game and there's no way to tell if someone owns the DLC... So... o_O

The "Request New Winner" button works instantly. If you provide Support with a valid reason for a re-roll, the response should be fairly quick. If not, there will probably be some delay as they try to work out the reason for the request.

So if have sent 2 e-mails and friend request to a user, and he's been online after that, but hasn't accepted my friend request, nor replied to my e-mails, i should still wait 7 days before asking for a reroll? And i mean more than 1x online and not bothered to reply, etc.

(I know this isn't what OP was asking, but was about to create a thread to ask it, didn't mean to hijack this one, but figured might not be worth a separate thread for such a simple question).

Yeah, you can only reroll if they are unresponsive to you (and you have evidence that you tried to get a hold of them) and you have waited the full 7 days.

You can also reroll if you find out they already own the game/don't want it anymore.

Ok, such a hassle waiting 7 days... :/
But i understand. :)

As for the evidence, i assume i should submit like a screenshot of e-mail or something to support when i file for a ticket? I mean, what other evidence can i submit?

(And thx, btw)

Yeah, just take a screenshot of your sent folder in your email or of a chat log with him saying he won and that should be sufficient. (I've never had to reroll yet, but this seems to be accepted as doing your part to try to get a hold of the person)

If it is too much of a hassle for you to abide by the 7-day rule then maybe you shouldn't participate in giveaways on this site. Steam shows me as being online all of the time but it doesn't mean that I'm sitting in front of the computer screen all day waiting to see if I won a game on SG. People have lives and it's the reason why the 7-day rule exists.

Well, I started a group give away of that DLC for Kung Fu before it was free and had 4 entries originally; people pulled out because they either won it from the dozens of GA's that popped up afterwards and the one person left forgot to delete his entry before the timer ran out and he was marked as the winner. He sent me a steam pm and posted on the GA. I sent a support ticket the day this occurred and got a reply within minutes, telling me to send the screenshot of the Steam chat the winner and I had. I did so, about an hour later. Two days since any word, and the person's been online since, I'm not mad, just confused.
