I tried it, works fine, but I didn't had an use for it.
I should point out that I tested it with a small shitty netbook as reciever just to see how good it was with bad hardware, and it performed in an acceptable way.

Win7->Win7? Worked alright.

Win7->WinXP? Video was fine, but audio was crackly. My best guess is that the sample rate was different on both computers, and I know of no way to force that setting on XP, or within Steam. I couldn't find anything on Google that would solve the problem either. I did try changing the default on the Win7 PC, but there was no change.
